First game this season
What type of Reception do you think Tan will get?
Thursday January 22nd 2014
Vincent Tan is ready to end an eight month exile by attending his first Cardiff City game of the season.
The billionaire looks certain to be back in the director’s box for the next home Championship match against title-chasing Derby County.
That game, to be played on Saturday week, will see Tan watch a Bluebirds match at Cardiff City Stadium for the first time since the Premier League farewell against Chelsea last May.
He hasn’t been present at previous matches this season, although Tan was in the Welsh capital for the European Super Cup clash between Real Madrid and Sevilla last August.
His decision to fly in from Malaysia for the Derby match comes only two weeks after he agreed Cardiff should return to playing in their tradition blue kit for home games.
City have worn blue against Fulham, Norwich and Middlesbrough since then and Tan has pledged the Bluebirds will wear that kit in every Championship home fixture over the rest of this season.

What has made to come now. If your coming along get your house in order and remove Slade as manager. My blood is sky high and i want Slade out not a rocket Science. You put us true loads one decision will not improve things. Tan get Slade out and quickly.

I never thought we would see him again.....
I would wait until the dust settled a bit
Thu Jan 22, 2015 8:38 pm
He should get a better reception than before now.

At least we may get an idea what the game plan is.....Hopefully he gives an interview.

Think he might be expecting something like the reception Dalman and Choo got, he might be disappointed.
I've forgive him, I don't respect him has he shouldn't have done what he done in the 1st place, but i won't boo him, neither will i chant his name. Some people might not be as nice as me though.
Thu Jan 22, 2015 9:55 pm
Will neither clap nor boo.
Thu Jan 22, 2015 9:58 pm
At least he will see how bad we are playing. It could be a goal fest against Derby with only one winner.
Thu Jan 22, 2015 10:28 pm
I will applaud him and clap him. I know people say he shouldnt have rebranded us in the first place but i respect him for making the decision to reverse the rebrand.
I would rather keep him on side and work with him going forward because i dont see any other billionaires queing up to buy this club like many on here think are out there.

And hopefully he will see how shit the football is and see how shit slade is in person and that will help towards him making a decision on sacking the clueless b*stard
Thu Jan 22, 2015 10:33 pm
Such a tough decision how I feel towards him now. I won't boo him but certainly won't applaud him.
Thu Jan 22, 2015 11:04 pm
I will clap him, it's takes a decent Man to admit when he's wrong. For get what he did in the past is all about the future now..
Thu Jan 22, 2015 11:13 pm
I think it shows he still has interest in the City. I will be clapping.

Hell surely not walk around the pitch with his red shirt on and trousers pulled up to his forehead, that would be awkward
With Tan anything could happen

Same here.
He shouldn't have changed us in the first place and scarred the club with his decision. I'm very happy that he's changed us back but that doesn't mean he deserves to be applauded.
I will be there to support the Bluebirds.

Well said, fella!
Sadly, you are in danger of being seen as 'too positive' towards the man who could still hold the key to a successful future, has no one in the wings with any realistic finances to replace him and/or may just beginning to learn from past mistakes (highlighted by his u-turn on the red/blue issue)
Only time will tell, but the move towards fiscal responsibility is (for me) a good sign for the future of the club and one many (some of whom appear to have forgotten) have hankered for some time

I hope he is coming back to sack Slade.

I agree
The way we're playing at the moment you could argue we need him (and his money) even more than ever!

I never sang the original version but this one sounds ok to me....
Vincent Tan, Vincent Tan
You're our Banker
Vincent Tan Vincent I say..........
Fri Jan 23, 2015 8:26 am
I could never clap him, far too much water has gone under the bridge for that. IMO he still has a lot of making up to do with the City fans
However i will not be booing him or singing any anti Tan songs.

The voice of reason -well said.
If I owned a football club I would be far more likely to invest if I felt appreciated and got positive vibes from the fans. He's invested a lot into City and has "admitted" the mistake of rebranding the colour. Whenever anything goes wrong there are those on here who say its Tans' fault . For everything from picking the team; to the weather; to the fact that their partner had another headache last night!
Lighten up and show him we can make a fresh start.

He needs to be treated with respect ... He has treated the fans the same and given back our identity. I made a decision to go back to the stadium when he does !
No dout hes going to be there on business depending on slades results

We need Tan if only to survive. Let's face it nobody else with money has or ever will be interested in us. Hopefully a good reception may encourage him to push us forward but I am not building my hopes up.
Fri Jan 23, 2015 10:54 am
He isn't investing, he's in the process of cost cutting on every level. I don't care if he comes dressed in a dragon suit...He's a shark underneath. He lied to us about the kit and also turning debt into equity. He appointed Slade when Pulis would've come. All his so-called investment is a loan with at least 7% pay back interest. We need fans to own the club as in Germany. It should be 51% ownership in the long-term.
Fri Jan 23, 2015 10:57 am
I have no problem with Tan now.
Would love it if he came in a new blue coat.
