at least £500k? i hope thats not true.

why would we sell him? he has pedigree. he is in a wretched run of form but it would be madness to take a big hit on him after 6 months.

Why are we selling/giving away all the others that have already gone?

I understand on some of them.

its chucking money down the drain. i don't understand it at all. on one hand we are cutting low wage staff, but on the other we pay people like cala and berget golden goodbyes to go on free transfers.

this chopping and changing is costing the club huge amounts of money. what if the next crop of players have a slow start to their tenure here? sell them for half the money in 6 months, or give them free transfers and pay them 6 months wages to go?

theres a complete lack of forwards planning at this club at the moment.

For months it's been 'drop him ', and now he has been dropped and Harris has come in and done a great job it's now 'don't sell him'.
To be honest I've enjoyed the years of excess cup finals, championship winners, year in the Prem, play offs etc.. But if we've got to balance the books for a few years then so be it.

Slade is filling the gap of determination and leadership with guys like Revell and Peltiet. The gap Ole ignored with his kid in a sweatshop signing.

It would be nice to see how he gets on given a proper chance and support, however it looks like our support base has been spoilt and many will only back a winning team.

That's not the Cardiff I was brought up with. As long as they give their all for the shirt then they will have my backing. I will also give the manager time to turn things around, I don't think it's that attractive a job these days !

Huddersfield Town are interested in Cardiff City striker Adam Le Fondre, according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Leon Wobschall.

FLW understands that Huddersfield are interested in taking the striker on loan and is not part of a swap deal that will see Lee Peltier going in the opposite direction.

Wales Online reported on Wednesday that fellow Cardiff striker Nicky Maynard was being used as a part of swap deal for Peltier but it now appears the Terriers have turned their attention to Maynard’s team mate Le Fondre.

Town boss Chris Powell has made it no secret that he is looking for a striker and the search has increased after James Vaughan suffered a fractured cheekbone and eye socket in the defeat to Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Le Fondre has made 23 appearances for the Bluebirds, scoring three goals, since joining from Reading last summer while Maynard has only made four substitute appearances since Russell Slade was appointed manager.

Maynard joined from West Ham United three years ago in a £2.5 million deal but has only made 25 appearances in all competitions.

The Winsford-born striker had a loan spell at Wigan Athletic last season scoring four goals in 16 games.

Slade, who worked with Peltier when the two were at Yeovil Town, admitted his interest in signing the Huddersfield defender:

“Lee Peltier is on our radar and we’ll have to wait and see,” said the former Leyton Orient boss. “There is a possibility.”

The Liverpudlian returned to Huddersfield for a second spell last summer, signing a three-year deal, after being released by Leeds United and has made 12 appearances in all competitions for the Terriers this season.
