The thought did cross my mind mate tbh, then when I noticed you name included Magic I thought I'd ask the question.

Mate u need to take that thought of us getting promoted and flush it down the bog cos it ain't gna happen,need to realize Wats going on,we ain't going to sign big managers or players anymore those days are gone the next two maybe three seasons is about getting rid of the high earners and get a competitive championship team assembled to maybe push in a few yrs,we had our day in the prem and it was shit I'd rather the club not build up more debt chasing a dream and be more realistic,we're just a championship team no better no worse

Yeh i see your point but i dont agree with it. Why should we just settle for shit and just accept we are gonna be a championship club for a few years? Teams have also yoyod prem to championship or teams gone straight back up they didnt just lie down and accept they are gonna be a championship club,their clubs was run properly and they battled and fought to get back to the prem where we shud strive to get to.

Im not saying we need to keep spending millions and we could fight to get up there on a relatively low budget with the right manager in charge,its simple as that,a right manager would pick the right players pick the right formation and sign the right players to get us back up there or even give us a fighting chance to do that..

However under slade can you see that happening or see him being able to achieve that? I dont think so hes a train wreck of a manager at this level..

The improtant point is slade wont stand a chance of cutting it in the premiership so whats the point of him being here. At this point in time we need a manager to start a new philosophy and build for the long term future of the club slade aint that man is he..

Slade won't get us promoted and if he did we wont stay there!

VT Knows Slade,s capabilities, he,s not stupid. He knows he wont get us to the Promoted he knows he certainly wouldn't keep us there. VT has another agenda for our club, and its not promotion back to the PL

I have said it from day one.....at 53 if he was anygood he would have been in the championship years ago...he needs to go otherwise he has the credentials alongside Young to take us down

to be honest I am not overly concerned by the standard of the signings. I question how needed they are but I was happy with their work rates. Its the style of football that frustrates me. No improvements, if anything gone backwards. We could play better and not be facing down relegation again. I just dont think he is up to it sorry.

I'm still not sure about this point. I'm not defendiing Slade in any way but I'm not sure it makes sense either way for VT to put somebody in that he knows won't get us promoted.

My view is that the only way, in the short-term, that he would get his money back (or even just the majority of it) would be to sell us as a Premier club.

If that wasn't to happen and this is just cutting us to the bone to recoup his outlay it will take a whole lot longer (years, and even longer if we get relegated) even it it was achievable. In that case he would be better off selling us now for a lesser amount.

I actually think that VT has been scarred by the spending exploits of MM and OGS in the last 3 transfer windows and, with his limited football understanding, wants to try a different way like Burnley, Swansea, etc.

Personally I think the current approach will fail but similarly I do hope that City fans are able to tailor their expectations. Over the last 10 years we have always had worries about our club over spending and the prospect of not having a club at all, I think there is a happy medium and VT may recognise that after a while but this initial phase of consolidation will not be without pain
