Loads of much smaller clubs than us have had years and years of premier football. Fulham,Blackburn,wet brom, Southampton,Wigan, qpr, Leicester I could go on and on.

Tan is doing things right at the moment we should be self sufficient and produce from our academy. Better late than never.

However he has made one massive mistake and it's Slade! If we are going to go down the lower league route we shouldn't have an old manager that has proved over 2 decades he can't succeed. Why not get Ardley back from Wimbledon, or Karl Robbinson?
We should gamble on a young manager with a good reputation it is the only way to go forward .

For me Slade isn't even a gamble. He's a guarantee for failure as he's proved time and time again.

you can live within a budget and still play good football. The players we had at the start of the season were capable of it and I do believe the squad still has players that can be effective when played in the right way. The problem is not the cost cutting it is Slades persistence in playing dire football and refusing to see what he has at his disposal. I accept the wage bill may need tom come down but why get rid of 1 guy who may be able to make a difference and having on to 2 or 3 that barely featrured and are unlikely to do anything even if they did play?

I agree, Why cant we be a normal club with our Identity and not an owner who threatens us if you want money,you dont have your own identity,thats not normal and does not happen at other clubs.

A decent manager would have played to our strengths and made the most of what we had and we had some very creative players. Unfortunately the people at the club making big decisions just don't understand football. Slade was apparently Tans choice, which says it all really.

I don't believe anything will improve untill we find a new owner and have a big change of thinking within the club.

I hope Slade is just doing the dirty work (getting rid of the big earners) and a new manager will be appointed in the summer.

Come on Tan do you want your money back or to be seen as a failure at a football club?

Someone mentioned Neal Ardley earlier how is he doing at Wimbledon ? I know he said he was trying to put into place ,tactics he used here at the Academy , passing from the back,ball on the floor ,etc before the recent FA Cup match against Liverpool.

He seemed well liked and respected when working with the academy and knows all about the club.

Would fans like someone like him as first team coach with an older head as director of football?
