Everton being playing poorly this season yet ...

Sell out their entire allocation to Crystal Palace in less than 2 hours, 2,750 tickets for 500 mile round trip, Big Club, well done :bluescarf:

Martinez is a good Manager, but took a talented Wigan down and has undone some of Moyes good defensive work.

Needs a good defensive number two someone like Bould or Keown .........

if we spent the amount of years in the top flight as them we would be. Probably bigger actually, it wasnt so many years ago we were averaging 9000 under Sam, now we average 21000. For example you think Stoke are bigger than Cardiff? or Swansea for that matter? the longer Swansea stay in the prem than they will become bigger, its that simple. More exposure bring more fans simple :o

Oh come on! Everton are a much bigger club than us. What happened when their board tried changing Everton's badge last season? Their fans stood up for their club and it didn't let it happen. Everton were too big a club to allow their badge to get changed. Us however...

Stoke are on a par with us size wise, Swansea will always be smaller than us, but Everton are much, much bigger than us.

Everton are traditionally one of England's big clubs. No surprise that they sold their allocation so quickly.
In fact, Everton are also the original club of the City of Liverpoool. They used to play at Anfield, but left over a dispute over rent. LFC was founded so they could use Anfield,

Indeed Everton are the original Liverpool and it could be said most of the Liverpool residents are Everton fans.

So to compare us to Everton.....right  .

I think he means if we'd been in the top flight for decades like them and they'd been shit for decades like us, then we'd be as big if not bigger.

But that's not happened so they're loads bigger.

Thats basically saying "we'd be bigger than them if we were bigger than them".

Of course we would. Ten times!

Everton won loads in the mid eighties and so attracted a huge fanbase.
If we won a few titles fans would flock.
Any club would.

At first glance I thought blueboys was having a bit of a mare, but he's actually correct. Yes you would be bigger than them whilst winning your ten titles, but as soon as you stopped winning them the support would drop. It would be the same with us. Such is the total apathy of the South Wales public. ;)

Such is the apathy of many a region in fairness. Though i think we're worse than most, just look at Wales' attendances.

Back in the day Blackpool were a widely supported club, as were Leeds, Blackburn, Villa etc.
Nothing breeds support like success.
