Would league one next season

Really be that bad ? Possible a play off at the end of the season, and a trip to Wembley. Also some great away days in the lower divisions :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

How about a season in League 1 with Slade in charge? He could lead us to relegation to League 2, just like he was doing with Orient before some tw*t decided to listen to a nobody called Glen Roeder and give Slade the job here.

These away days in the lower leagues are not as romantic as many seem to be remebering them. I remember a load of run down three quarter empty shit holes which I would be more than happy never to visit again!

It is if you support Newport, fella (which suspect you do with your constant relegation threads) ;)

Agree.....

If you ask the County management they want to play in the highest Division they can, that's what the pyramid system us all about!

Once you take that away you may as well give up going and watch the telly :bluescarf:

Not checking with anyone, fella. You are just negative beyond. Constant references to us being relegated and a pointless Everton crowd one. A shite Leeds take more away than that at the bottom of The Championship!

Oh, and I almost forgot about the the one where you made it up that Marshall had been sold to Everton for £8m

If you really are a City supporter, try getting behind them rather than wishing them down!

Isn't that exactly what we said when we got relegated last season

Why all this talk about league 1. We are miles away from the relegation zone, for god´s sake (11 points to be exact).

I've said this before, & I'll say it again, relegation this season would be a total & utter disaster, & there would be only One person to blame for ALL of that!

I will be disappointed if we get relegated, but you're right that it will give us the opportunity to have better away trips and that's one thing I would really look forward to. A relagation might actually give us the chance to rebuild and put ourselves in a better position in the future anyway. It didn't do Norwich, Southampton or Leicester any harm. We could continue struggling with our current squad with mid table finishes, or get relegated, totally revamp our squad and do a Southampton in the future. I don't think relegation would be the biggest disaster in the world.

Just out of interest, but are you talking about Division One football With,,, or Without Russell Slade & Vincent Tan in charge?

Exactly what I was thinking especially after the Marshall post.
Just another shit stirrer I think.

Whatever division we are in, I want Tan out. Correcting his own mistake by changing us back to blue doesn't make me feel any different towards him. Tan just finally gave in and I believe Tan only changed us back to blue for his own benefit and for his own benefit only. Tan still doesn't care about us fans or our club.

I would be fine with Slade being our manager in League 1 to be honest. A relegation will allow us to offload the rest of our big earning primadonnas and this will free up space for Slade to assemble his own squad. Slade can finally be judged then. At the moment, Slade is being praised for signing Alex Revell after initially getting harshly criticised before anyone had watched him play, and he's also getting harshly criticised for players he's inherited letting him down.

If Peter Whittingham reacted to cut out the cross for the first goal and if Sean Morrison didn't take a mad step out of defence to create the space for their player to cross for their second goal, we would have won 1-0. I disagree with Slade's persistance of 4-4-2 and not changing things when we are getting dominated and overrun, but I still think we could do a lot worse than him.

I think Slade switching to 4-5-1 recently is a step in the right direction. I notice Slade has only started playing 4-5-1 since signing Alex Revell, as Revell is mobile enough to play the lone striker role, plus have the physical stature to hold the ball up. Slade may have played 4-5-1 a lot sooner if he had confidence in Jones consistantly performing, but we never know what Kenwyne Jones is going to turn up. At least it seems we can rely on Revell to give 100% every game and if Slade can assemble a team of Alex Revell's giving 100% in blue, that will be more than good enough for me, whatever the level!
