Slade has to go

You'd swear we are playing Blackpool home the way you say that
Middlesbrough away will be hard for most teams in this league anything out of this game would be good for us , still I don't think he is good enough

I had no idea we even had a game!
Tue Jan 20, 2015 7:50 am
And I would say we might well lose as boro are a good team.

Replace "if" with "when".

Funny, but I've got a feeling that Blackpool (home) our last scheduled home game this season is going to be even harder than tonight's game!

Tonight's like the game we randomly win like when we beat Watford

I wish.
However I've got a horrible feeling he'll have until the end of the season. Hope I'm wrong!

I do not think that Slade would be sacked even if we were in the bottom 3 with relegation starring us in the eyes. Its the owners appointment and I cannot see him axe Slade lightly.
I am surprised that the owner seems to have given up on trying to get card if back into the top flight. Clearly a cost cutting exercise is going on but instead of just getting rid of the"dead wood" some decent quality has been shipped out. Based on our current squad there is no way that we will achieve promotion.

Okay lets sack slade.
Who do we hire then.
Glenn Roeder
Hoddle
Sven
etc etc etc
He has been in charge for 3 months haha

There is a bit of luck in Football and if you get it you just have to grab it by the ears and ride it! Its a funny old game as they say.

We certainly should be lining up a new manager.
Absolutely no progress in three months.
Dire football, dire tactics, sad state of affairs.

3 months.
What do you expect. Why are we entitled to walk this league?.
We won this league once in how many years?.
The only progress we will see is once Slade has had a window. Otherwise he was trying to make progress with players he was stuck with on arrival.

Players he was stuck with yes, however his inability to change things has cost us. There is no way our players are suited to a 4-4-2 formation but we play it every game. Surely Slade realises this?

Exactly, I would have expected any "decent" manager to have at least steadied the ship after a couple of months. I suspect Slade is not up to this league and is a great admirer of the long ball game.
All about opinions though. I would loved to be proved wrong. However, I suspect if we keep him too long, it may be too late.

He isn’t the manager for us win lose or draw tonight
Tue Jan 20, 2015 12:50 pm
Our players aint got a clue what they are doing whatever team we play against. No style of play, cant keep posession, cant defend, slade picks shit underperforming players week in week out also playing players out of position.
He just hasent got a clue what he is doing and aint got the football knowledge or experience to fix it.
Slade out.

Who's expecting us to 'walk this league'?
I haven't heard anybody say that!
What people are expecting is a little bit of progress. A little bit of effort, entertainment, possession, actually closing teams down & keeping the ball for longer than 4 passes. Not the dross of kicking long & chase that - park football mentality that we see week in week out. That's all, it's not hard.
Saying this, I'm willing to keep him for a while longer as we certainly aren't going up & I don't believe we are going down either so let's see what he can do over the next couple of months!

Agreed.
As for Gavin's post above, it's not about demanding promotion, it's about wanting the right manager in charge & I've seen enough in Slade to say we haven't got it.
We will be getting closer to relegation with him in charge, not promotion.

Boro away is one of the toughest away games of the season. They are flying. They should batter us 3-0. I'm hoping for a draw.
Tue Jan 20, 2015 6:12 pm
Why? Boro are one of the top teams in this division, currently 4th in the league. They'll be looking at us as an easy 3 points tonight and rightly so.
Tue Jan 20, 2015 6:28 pm
Where gonna get hurt tonight and just get more shit excuses from slade they will run rings round us if we stick to 4-4-2

well said
