So Pulis is undefeated in 3 games, having pulled off a valuable 0-0 at Goodison Park.
Did we miss a trick?? My opinion: YES.
DONT GET ME WRONG, IM BEHIND Slade for now but it could have been so different.
Just saying.

precisely.
if push came to shove, i don't think pulis would have taken the job. i don't think tan is in the mood for reckless spending. don't forget pulis would have commanded a high wage.
the role favoured an unproven ambitious manager that was willing to take the job on a low salary.

Did it? Does it? Will it? In hindsight it is easy to say what Tan wanted, but at the time, many were tipping TP for the job. VT hasn't been aversed to spending in the past, so could afford a flutter on a manager for the year.
Pulis said afterwards hd wanted the job. Why would he do that if hd didn't think he could have been a contender? Pulis was in the running but certain things went against him, not least, his involvement by association with the Palacegate stuff. That's why he wasn't in the mix.

I've heard him say he would speak to any club out of professional curtesy and he never speaks badly of any club, but he was waiting for a premiership job and has got it now
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/foot ... ed-7982425This is Wales On Line but the BBC carried the same story. He clearly was interested and said so.

I don't see where he says he was interested? He says he would have spoken to them, I also heard him say he would have spoken to any club who approached him. Nowhere does he say that he would have taken the job, no actual quotes of him putting his name to the job. Ive read the bbc one to go with this. I think if he as paid a fortune and made an offer he couldnt refuse he would have taken it, but Ive heard a few verbal interviews when he said he's not looking at championship clubs that he would prefer managing in the premiership but would talk to any club. Don't get me wrong i would have and still would love him here, I wanted him even when our fans thought we were to good for his style of football. I just don't think he would come to us unless we are promoted or have an odds on chance of coming up first time under his tutorlidge

No point dwelling on it. Everyone knows he's a good manager, but we're stuck for Slade for the time being so we may as well get behind him.
