How about you start the ball rolling with some considered thoughts of your own, seeing as how you just started a 'Slate the City' thread? ;)

Probably won't sound too original as many on this board have already expressed similar thoughts very eloquently.
I don't really hold out too much hope for this season as Slade seems to be Tan's 'man' and installed at least until the end of the season. The football on show has been of very poor quality and with the current squad & manager I don't envisage too much change (but I hope I'm proved wrong!)

We clearly need more steel/competitiveness and creativity in midfield and more ruthlessness in front of goal. I believe Whitts has seen his best days at Cardiff and needs benching along with Gunnarson. Although another option could be to play Whitts as a number ten just behind the front two. So IMO we need two new midfielders that should be part of a unit of five (at the very least away from home). Our possession stats our dire and put huge pressure on our defence. Any team with our lack of possession will struggle to keep clean sheets. We MUST keep the ball better. Slade's hoofball is worse than McKay's.

Our lack of goals has been down to poor finishing (Le Fondre comes to mind) and also poor service (see above). Another obvious need is for a much more clinical/ruthless finisher.

Finally, we have no leadership on the field and have to bring in someone with that experience. We need a captain to encourage/cajole/instruct. Hudson was a huge loss from this respect.

In conclusion, there are huge holes which until plugged will leave us floundering in the bottom half of the table. Sorry to be so downbeat but I'm being honest as to where I think we are.

That's fine and some interesting points. I think we are all downbeat at the moment (despite the return to blue) and it will continue for some time to come :(

For me personally? I've seen and been through a lot worse at this club and I'll still be there next game/next season and beyond, although I'd be a liar if I said I didn't question my own sanity on occasion! :laughing6:

On by one, I can't say the same about too many others as time goes on and even some of the more vocal in recent times are starting to look for 'other' excuses not to attend ;)
