" I WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH CITY FANS "

From the pre-match drinks, approaching the stadium to being in the stands, the happiness of the fans was a pleasure to see and be part of.

The one word that kept repeating itself was ‘proud’. The fans feel proud to be supporting the Bluebirds in our traditional colours.

I was slightly disappointed by the attendance. I had hoped we would see at least 25,000 fans turn up for what was an historic day for the fans.

I thought the reversal would be witnessed by more than the 22,515 there.

That said even though we had enough seats to have another 10,000 supporters inside the Cardiff City Stadium it did demonstrate the vast numbers that had not been attending prior to last week’s match.

I would guess that we had dropped to around 14,000 at previous home games.

There has been a consistency to our play over the course of this season but it has not been consistently good.

The manager and the players need to address these performances otherwise we will not get away with results like we did last week on too many occasions.

Is Russell Slade using the 4-4-2 to cover problems we have in areas on the pitch that he has yet been able to rectify?

The seemingly unthinkable does happen and with three tough league fixtures left in the month, who knows we could just put ourselves in a good position for a play-off spot going into the final third of the season.

It just goes to show what is actually keeping the fans away I would be stunned if there were 22500 at our next home game

Today we could be a bit closer to earth planet.

Some are saying it is the emotions that got us the win last week. Though emotions will die down over the next few games but I do feel if Norwich continue their impressive home form these emotions will come right back down with a thump.

I thought we'd have 25,000 plus for that game aswell.
If the decision to reverse the rebrand was taken on the Monday or Tuesday it would have been a lot more. It'll be interesting to see the attendance for the next game. Fans have no excuses to stay away now we're back to blue (apart from the standard of football ).

I agree with above, we would have got 25-26k i think but it was done 24hours before the game, we had crazy weather/winds for most of the area and the game was 50-50 up until 1pm ish so i think 22.5k is a good showing.

Dont be disappointed by the fans - theyre the ones who turned up.
Saying that tho by the time the shirt decision had been made the cost of a ticket was i think £35. The club could easily have dropped the prices at that stage.

You were correct the first time!

I, also, was very surprised that we didn't hit at least the 25,000 mark.
I also think unless the football becomes a fair bit more exciting & positive the numbers will drop considerably throughout the weeks to come.
Promotion for me is out one but things must get better on the pitch to keep the numbers.

Small increase or price freeze is still not enough. Football matches are still overpriced all around the country.
A lot of fans would rather spend their money in a pub watching football on sky or bt.

The game was only confirmed to go ahead at 1.30pm, we were lucky to get the attendance we did

Yeah you have a point.
The next home match (in Blue) will be interesting especially if we don't do well in our next 2 tough away trips.

Wasn't the blue only announced on the Friday and the game on the Saturday? It's just not enough time.

The most obvious thing was the actual amount of people, forget announced attendance it was very clear it's the most we have had this season in the ground.

you are all spot on but the next home league game is against derby and they should bring a couple of thousand with them i don't know how many fulham fans came last week but it only looked about 5 to 6 hundred

agreed, some on here say 450 bucks adult and child is reasonable. Some people don't earn that in a week

And yet players can be on upto 30,000 a week and not even on bench.

450 season ticket reasonable ,lol. Thanks for going back to blue but ill pick and choose out of all those empty seats next season.

That and Fulham were poor. They have a terrible scoring record

tickets are quite expensive and we languish in mid table mediocrity. do you really expect 25,000 fans to pay to watch us? you're deluded about how many real fans we have.

of course if we were in the premier league you'll get people who go along to be entertained, but at the moment there's not much entertainment to entice the fair weather fans. 22,500 for a mid table game is actually very good for us.

Should of been of been at least 25,000 plus.

If the return to blue had been announced earlier, the crowd would have been much bigger with the return blue only being confirmed about 24hrs before. Lots of people may have already made plans for weekend or arranged to work

why?

yes we are blue, but that doesn't change the fact that for the plastics (in addition to the boycotters who came back because of blue) to come out, he prices need to be reasonable, and people cannot be expected to change their weekend plans at the drop of a hat. therein lies the problem.
