When he started , and still not to sure. Now the transfer window is open lets see if he bags any surprises and he seems to be having a good clear out of the players who simply just dont feature. Give him till the end of the season at least and get behind the team, who knows what will happen come May !

I know what your saying. It hasnt been straight forward , Cardiff never is but its too late in season to be changing managers again now so lets see how he does.

We haven't got a team capable of keeping the ball because of the style of midfielders we have. That can't be Slades fault. He knows what he needs and if he gets the type of players he wants in January then I'm sure we'll see a massive improvement. How do u stop your defenders hoofing it if your gunnarson isn't good enough to get on the ball deep in midfield and Whittingham doesn't bust a gut to move to offer an option. Ralls is pretty good at picking the ball up off defence and moving us forward but I'd say we need someone else in there.

He's clearing out players who don't feature because he's the one that's not featuring them!!
He's kicking out Burgstallar for example within days of arriving. At least play him in the cup games to have a look ffs.

Disagree, I totally blame the formation. Every game we are totally overrun in midfield. Every manager knows slades tactics, they drop an extra man into midfield and we can't cope, end up chasing shadows. We then have two strikers upfront with no service. To me it's madness to be so stubborn with a formation.

What are you on about? Slade cleared out the midfielders who are comfortable in posession. In ravel and daehli we had two players who were some of the best on the ball in the entire division.the problem was he didn't play them.
I don't think he is trying to keep posession, if you think that then why get rid of players that can kee posession and why the hoofball. Surely you don't think the players are ignoring his instruction and hoofing it up field instead of playing from the back as he's told them to?

i think he should be judged on his budget and results, not his tactics, which to my mind pale into insignificance in the wider scheme of things.
yes his tactics seem route one, but we played the same way under malky mackay and got results so no-one complained.
realistically, you have to consider he is being told to cut back on the big earners and we should judge him on where we finish come the end of the season. as long as we don't finish beneath 12th i think he deserves a shot at it next season.

So u want the likes of daehli and ravel to drop back into defensive midfield to pick the ball up? Lol 442 is ok with the right midfield. But we don't have a dominant midfield which is exactly what I said in my previous post. Plus, lets be honest, he didn't have a choice in keeping half of these players
