Over the last few months especially, I've seen a lot of people on here saying the Canton stand and the Family stand should be swapped over.

What are your thoughts?

It would improve the atmosphere IMO, as we'd be closer to the away fans. You could say, we should all move to the Ninian Stand if we want to be close to the away fans. But then, you're not allowed to stand in the Ninian?

Would the club agree to it? I'm not sure.

Defo and i would move there from ninian

I think the more likely scenario is the away fans going up into the new stand .
I can't see the club paying out thousands of pounds to transfer everything over from the family to canton .
Going up to the new tier would be a lot easier and would still improve the atmosphere without the need to move everybody around

Can't see that happening the away end is all set up so there can't be any trouble or chance of trouble, would they want away fans right above home fans with a chance of things being thrown? Plus walk directly out into each other outside ground.

They be paying more out in police costs.

They do it at other grounds like Derby west brom where home fans are right by the away fans they do it so they can drown you out

I think it's unfair to expect Family Stand season ticket holders to have to change their seats. Also, I think it's a myth that the atmosphere will be better. It's very unlikely it's ever going to happen anyway, so fans are better of thinking about how they can improve things as they are.

The stadium wss built specifically the way it is to accommodate away fans with no chance of interaction with our fans! How much trouble was there at ninian because fans could mix? Doesnt matter times have moved on and city fans are good boys!! Club wants it to stay that way, so do police

Yeah like the club also made it abundantly clear we wouldn't be changing back to Blue!
Hate the attitude of just rolling over & giving up.

It doesn't effect me. The only ones who should decide are the people in both sections who would actually have to move.

Would increase the atmosphere, singing & banter no end. There wouldn't be any trouble either. Those days are gone & the segregation is all set up perfectly anyway.
With regards to the Family Stand ST holders swapping, why wouldn't they? The Canton is a carbon copy with the same view more or less.

Well people banged on about the rebrand. What happened there? Things can always change and if enough people.demand it it could happen. I am in family stand and happy to switch

1) I have already moved several times since the stadium opened and enjoy being in the Ninian towards the Canton end and the atmosphere that can generate. I don't want to move again.

2) We are naive if we think there still isn't the potential for trouble. There have been one or two occassions already when there has been a bit of agro between the visiting fans and the Family stand. We still have plenty of nutters who would look for trouble.

100% it needs to be done.

There's plenty of segregation for away fans regarding trouble.

Our atmosphere is dire, we need to make changes to help us create the atmosphere we know we can create

And it's been made clear that the club want to consult more with fans I.e fan representation on the board and changing back to blue. Anything is possibly if we stick together and push hard enough. End of the day were only doing these things for the better of our club and to improve the 'match day experience'
