Cardiff City can confirm that Jo Inge Berget’s contract with the club has been terminated by mutual agreement. The player leaves Cardiff City with immediate effect.

Thats exactly what is happening.

I can see this as a short term saving, but driving down costs to the detriment of the team is daft. It will make the club less attractive to an investor if there are no quality players left.

Be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water.
