Pilkington

After taking ages to 'settle in' he gets injured with a hamstring. Norwich fans did warn us he was another Sicknote. When injuries like this , depending on the gravity, take anything between 3- 8 weeks, how is it that there is no chance of him even being back before the end of January? This is after we were told he might be back for the Watford Christmas game. That will be 2 months!!!!! Add Dicgacoi to the mix - what the hell is going on?

What the hell is going on? Do you think it's a conspiracy or something? We have 2 players injured - get a grip, most top teams have players injured all the time.

You've clearly missed the point fella

Dikagoi did a bit of boxing training today. Had his leg brace off on Monday. Hopefully be full training towards the end of the month with the 1st team squad. Injuries take time.
Pilks has had a bad tear. Nothing could be done about it unfortunately but time is the only healer. Just take a look at Wanyama for the saints tonight. Pulled up half way through the game. Injuries happen.
I cant really see your point

Real shame about pilkington as initially thought he was not up to much but he was the one player who seemed to really improve in the first couple of games under Slade qnd appeared bang in form. Results have deteriorated since his injury as he offered balance in the system we play and worked really hard.

Perhaps the OP was refering to ... "how is it that there is no chance of him even being back before the end of January? This is after we were told he might be back for the Watford Christmas game"?

He does have a point.

It's called a setback.
Happens all the time especially with hamstring injuries.

Hope he's back soon. We've missed him.

I'd rather the club take their time in his recovery, rather than risk it and he is out for even longer.

Agree with this. Since he has gone out of the team, our midfield has had no balance. I dont think it is a coincidence that Pilkington going out of the team (went off in the Watford away victory) brought about the end of Slades fairly solid start where we won our first 4 home games and picked up points away. Results and performances went down from this game!

I agree we have missed him which is concerning as when he was playing I wasnt overally impressed

The point I'm making is - why do we sign players who we know are susceptible to injuries? This makes it a waste of resources as they are unavailable to play. In addition, it is extremely rare to be out with a hamstring for over 2 months. So - bearing in mind this and the perceived poor fitness of our players prior to this campaign, is there an issue here with our fitness/ medical team?
