' Burnley interested in Cardiff City midfielder '

According to the Daily Mail, Burnley could be considering bringing Icelandic international midfielder, Aron Gunnarsson to Turf Moor although the same paper also suggests they could be more interested in West Brom`s Graham Dorrans who also has Premier League experience.
The 25 year old Gunnarsson is considered quite versatile and can also play at right back. He started his professional career with local Icelandic side Þór Akureyri in 2005 before moving to the Netherlands a year later to play for AZ. He became familiar to UK football fans when he signed for Coventry City in June 2008 after agreeing a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee. In June 2008, he signed for Cardiff City on a three-year contract again for an undisclosed fee. Since playing for the Bluebirds he has notched up 134 appearances scoring 16 goals.

Are Burnley that desperate?I thought he was great early season, but hasn't played well for a couple of months, only contributing the long throws. He looked lost in the Premiership.
