Cardiff chairman Mehmet Dalman says club owner Vincent Tan is 'open to the idea' of having a fans' representative on the board following the return to the traditional blue kit.

On Friday, Malaysian businessman Tan removed the red home strip he introduced in 2012 in the wake of a record low crowd at the Cardiff City Stadium for the FA Cup third-round tie with Colchester and planned supporters' protests in the new year over the club's controversial rebranding exercise.

'Vincent is open to the idea,' Dalman said about the possibility of supporters being represented on the Cardiff board.

Cardiff wore the blue home kit for the first time this season during the 1-0 win against Fulham

'We have already made some bridges and I think this decision (returning kit colour to blue) will help us us get there much faster.
'I have started meeting with the fans' group or representatives before every board meeting for them to tell us (their) views.

'I've got closer to the fans at games and I'd like Vincent to do that because I think he'd actually find it's a wonderful world.'

Cardiff City Supporters' Trust wants further dialogue between the club and fans over the design of the new bluebird badge and the idea of having supporters' representation on the board.

Really would be fantastic but it would have to be Vince alm for me

If its not Vince Alm , then it will be an absolute joke.

But this is when all the I AM SPARTACUS types will come out and say without them it would never have happened!!

Vince Alm is a good call, but I also think that a season ticket holder should be randomly picked to, This will show that he is really reaching out to the fan group.

I don't know who it should be, but I'd rather it wasn't anyone who was considered to be part of Sam Hamman's so called 'inner circle'.

She will tell Tan the truth and show him the way of becoming a true hero here whilst also doing whats best for the club. She spoke very well during the meeting and therefore, as someone that played a pivotal part in the restoration of our clubs traditional kit colour, she should be the one who represents us. I would be honoured for her to speak on my behalf in regard to CCFC.

Vincent already has something in common with the owner: His first name! Seriously though, as long as it isn't a lap dog, it's a brilliant step forward.

Maybe we could nominate Roathie?? He's up for a fight!!! Lol.

This is more than we started with 2 years ago. I liked the comment about Tân getting closer to the fans literally and I agree that he would soon realise what he has been missing. Owners don't have to be pantomime villains. Just look at Chelsea!

I've nothing against the Trust but I've been less than impressed with them over the years as an effective fan representative entity.
