Fans Rep on the Board - Who would you want?

Who would you want as a fans rep on the board if tan allows it as it seems he would be happy with it if we are to go off media talk. Mine would be none other than Carl Curtis if I had to pick one from all the group's.

Annis or Vince Alm perhaps, but it would more likely go to someone on the CCST board.

Im not fully sure its a good idea to be honest, puts thats person in a awkward position and not sure it would help really. Would it have stopped teh rebrand? dont see how.

I really think it should be someone from the trust, the only democratic body the fans have. If I had to express a preference, Sian Branson

Agree with this but there will be so many of the usual chomping at the bit to sit at that table

Not a good place to be if you are sworn to secrecy! However if anything did come out at least they would know who it was and sack them immediately

Difficult to see how any one person can truly 'represent' the whole fan base and it would be somewhat of a 'Poison Chalice' for whoever did it, as our fan base are not the most tolerant and/or forgiving

However, IF it had to happen, then of the few people I know to be of the calibre to even remotely 'represent' other fans views, then it would have to be Vince Alm for me

But surely the views will be put across thats the idea of it and i agree it would be awkward but you will never win with football fans or please them all lets be honest. As for the rebrand bit well that was going ahead with or without fans imo it was just made to look like it was a fan choice abit like the rebrand reversal as we know now the club had already contacted the FA over the change TEN days before the suppose " we will listen to fans say " meeting last thursday

Does that mean Sian has to of been going 31 years to be a fans rep because that shouldn't matter imo. If people voted for her if there was a vote then it's fair as I'm sure if it was to happen it would only be between the people from the trust to the travel groups reps as people know who they are.

She was the head of BU.
personally I thought they were a disgrace and we got blue back dispite them. She is not involved in the trust, I guess members voted her on.
In fairness she came across well in recent interviews.

It would have to be someone who stood against the rebrand from the outset.

For me that narrows it down to 2 people. 2 guys responsible for the protests against the rebrand and basically anything else that showed support for the blue. The other names being mentioned as far as I am concerned would be putty in the hands of the likes of Vincent Tan therefore a waste of time.

Annis would be my first choice for the reasons you give, he's got so much passion for the club and never gave up on getting us back to blue and was instrumental from day 1.

Nothing personal against Sian, who certainly spoke well on Thursday, but she is (like several others) part of a specific group that ended up more ridiculed than revelled (again not entirely her fault) and certainly played little or no part in the eventual return to blue IMHO

That, as I stated elsewhere, was purely down to Tan seeing the IN-STADIUM protests (wearing of blue, 19:27 protest and eventually empty seats)

Still vince for me, IF one has to chosen
