West Ham outcast Ravel Morrison is in talks to sign for Italian outfit Lazio, talkSPORT understands.

The 21-year-old is out of contract with the Hammers at the end of the season and has been frozen out of the side after falling out of favour with manager Sam Allardyce.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp recently told talkSPORT he was interested in signing the winger in a permanent deal, after he impressed with six goals during a loan spell at Loftus Road last season.

But it now seems Morrison will get a chance for a fresh start oversees with high-flying Lazio, currently third in Serie A, who have opened discussions over a deal for the troubled youngster.

Morrison made just two appearances for West Ham this term before agreeing a loan move to Championship outfit Cardiff City, but he returned to the Boleyn Ground in December after the Bluebirds decided to cut his stay in Wales short.

He has since been forced to train with the club’s development squad, having not made a first-team appearance since the Hammers' home defeat to Southampton in August.

Can't help but think that he'd have to run to Rome just to get rid of all that weight he put on during his time here.
