I think he is nearing the end as a consistent starter. He is slow and it shows now. He petulantly kicks out every single game when someone runs past him and shows how slow he is.

But he is undroppable at the moment. He is the only one in midfield with an ounce of calmness and a midfield of Gunnarsson and Adeyemi isn't good enough.

I'm a massive Whitts fan but you may be right. I don't think we have enough creativity without him currently but in a 4 man midfield it simply doesn't play to his strengths.

Where I diagree with you is that I think we should build a team around Whitts to make the best of his talents, at the moment that isn't happening and, frankly, I don't think it will under Slade. The biggest problem is that we're not getting anything from out wide with Noone struggling.

Until we get more creativity in I would suggest that a Whitts/Adyemi partnership would be our best bet as Adyemii can provide tthat drive and dynamism we've been lacking.

I didn't see him actually do anything good on Saturday. Maybe I was just looking the other way somehow every time, but all I saw was him being out of place, him holding back and letting Fulham run at our box and a lot of him losing the ball as well. He's the one person I wanted off the field.
