Spot on.
The ditching of the fake franchise identity that Cardiff City had for three years has got to be worth it in the eyes of all genuine fans even If it means free transfers and lower league players and even lower league players so be it.
I also agree with you about some fans having a bit of a love in with Tan at the moment. Vincent Tan may have reversed a disastrous decision but the problem was entirely of his own making. He still needs to go asap in my opinion.

It's got nothing to do with bitterness. I even went to the game yesterday after boycotting for 2.5 years. I think the club living within its means and being less reliant of Tan is a good thing, don't you? And yes, no apologies from me for wanting Tan, a man who caused such divides, to leave as soon as possible.

Nukes I remember there being posts (not necessarily from you) where it was said VT didn't need to change us back even if crowds were low as he is so wealthy. Now it's being said he had to change back.
We can't have it both ways to suit our arguments. We are always doing that.

I think there are a number of factors behind the decision to reverse the re-brand decision and whilst his mother may have spoken to him in my opinion the decision is almost totally a business one.
VT wants out and to get the maximum possible amount for the club he needs to have a good number of season tickets sold, he also needs to balance the books as quickly as possible hence selling any player that will bring good money in (including Marshall) whilst signing players for a fraction and paying them a fraction of what we have been doing over the last couple of seasons.
In my opinion this "Consultation Meeting" with fans was what I call PR masterbation as the fans came out believing they had been listened to, which to a point they had been, but the decision to reverse the re-brand had already been taken before the meeting had taken place.
All the talk about having a board meeting the following day, reporting back to VT and making an announcement less than 1 hour later that included thanking the Football League for giving the reversal thier approval and they expect fans to believe it. How does it all go Hmmmmmm. In my opinion the decision was made before the invitations to the meeting were ever sent out.
I'm not saying for a second the decision isn't right because it needed to happen but ALL of this happened less than 7 days after that shocking attendance against Colchester. In my opinion VT was desperate to come out of this looking the good guy and thanks to the PR masterbation he has, but why has no one picked up on the statement only confirming our home kit would be Blue this season and next. What happens after thatWhy not confirm that the re-brand is reversed FULLSTOP.
In my opinion VT doesn't see himself being here after next season and given ALL that has gone on I think that would be a good thing. Hopefully the talk of a buyout has some legs and VT can walk away and the new owners can get on rebuilding the club.
And after 4 years of VT there is a rebuilding job required.
