• 45% said financial backing and success is the least important thing they look for when supporting a club
• 33% said a good fan community is the second most important thing they look for when supporting a club
• “Supporting Cardiff means a lot… I am not a customer”
• 14% said they support Cardiff simply because they are Welsh
• 48% said the rebrand didn’t change their loyalty towards the club, while 30% said it affected their loyalty lot
• 90% feel the sense of community has either grown weaker or much weaker over the last 3 years, and 94% of those who said it’s got weaker/much weaker say its due to the rebrand and/or the owners
• One fan noted how the premier league worsened the community, due to many fans attending games only to watch the away teams such as Manchester United and Arsenal.
• 67% of people stated heritage is more important than success
• 6% actively embrace the re-brand because “money = success”
• 24% know more than 10 people that have stopped supporting the club since the re-brand
• 55% protested
• 67% say they have witnessed conflict between the fans
