Worse than Cornelius?

Re: Adam Le Fondre

Sat Jan 10, 2015 6:44 pm

Thought it was one of his better games shame he couldn't score

Re: Adam Le Fondre

Sat Jan 10, 2015 7:01 pm

From what i hear revell could be a good signing works hard and does a lot for the team but not a prolific goalscorer.. we need a goalscorer along side him le fondre is not that man, hopefully it will be feruz or if not someone else needs to he signed to score us the goals to move us up the table

Re: Adam Le Fondre

Sat Jan 10, 2015 7:05 pm

personally I would have kept Velikonja and sent Alf out on loan - it still baffles me why this guy doesn't get a look in.

Re: Adam Le Fondre

Shame Mason came back injured.

He can't do the donkey work of a single striker but with a decent partner he will score

???????? :o I'd rather Gary Stevens! :old:

Thought alf was outstanding today worked really hard right up to 90th min substitution. Just his finishing at moment is wasteful if he got a few goals to go with work he would be immense

There's loads of ALF's out there lads ... Who can Run all day with no end product.... No use what so ever sorry lads :bluescarf:

Not good enough, should be in impact sub not a guaranteed place no matter what.

Re: Adam Le Fondre

I think cornelius would of got better in this league.

Rather campbell but we cant have him also im really pissed off Maynard
cant get back in the team clearly hes got no desire.

As for alf hes not good enough to be playing a lead role.
we need someone scoring 20+ for fun in alfs place

I'm a big fan of Le Fondre, mainly down to his work rate but he doesn't even look like scoring, who would you swap him for though?

Macheda - shit
Mason - injured (over rated by many on here)
Maynard - not recaptured his form since injury

Think it's an area which needs strengthening

Definitely need to buy goalscorer. Maybe kenwyn and Revell could be tried together might suit our long ball game

I agree but surely they need a chance.

Re: Adam Le Fondre

he's decent outside the box, but cannot finish for toffee at the moment. he was signed as, and is paid wages befitting that of a 20 goal a season striker, and so he should be working on the training field to try and regain his goalscoring touch.

he thinks too hard in front of goal, look at people like kane, austin who just drill it in. he needs to stop thinking and hit the target with power.

but worse than cornelius? absolutely not.

nice one Luke, you are right, if I tried to defend Le Fondre on his importance to the team I would fail

I always feel it's hard to dislike him but hard to like him at the same time lol.
It's shocking no one else is given a chance.

Re: Adam Le Fondre

I really want him to do well, his goalscoring record in the Championship has proved that he CAN score goals, it's just a shame that he's not doing it with us. I still have faith in the guy, he still has a whole second half of the season to go.

Re: Adam Le Fondre

Sun Jan 11, 2015 10:35 am

In my opnion he's had his chances. It's not working time for someone else to get a chance or change the formation.

Re: Adam Le Fondre

We just not had the replacements for Bothroyd or Chopra since they have left. ALF sounded like the right guy but his return of goals has been to say very disappointing.

Re: Adam Le Fondre

Shouldn't be starting games, say what you want about Macheda, at least he scores goals

His hard work couldn't disguise the fact that he messed things up nearly every time he had the ball. He is painfully slow and his finishing dismal. His past record suggests he may be able to sort out the finishing, but as things stand shouldn't be anywhere near the side. I'd rather see young Johnson given a chance.

But Le Fondre's hard work gave us the platform to build attacks and Le Fondre's and Revell's hard work in the second half helped get us a clean sheet. What a difference having 2 work horses up front for the second half! No coincidence we kept a clean sheet with Le Fondre and Revell taking the pressure off the rest of the team.

Also no coincidence that we didn't score again with a front pair who have scored only six goals between them this season in a combined total of about 50 games.

Hard work is great and will always endear players to the fans but we need to have some strikers who actually score goals for a change.

You fail to realise it was Le Fondre's work which won us the throw leading to our goal. Just because Le Fondre isn't scoring doesn't mean he isn't contributing.

Le Fondre is not contributing what he is there to contribute - goals.

But he is contributing to goals, he just isn't scoring many himself.
