In front of the second biggest crowd of the season, jubilant Cardiff City fans roared with delight as Russell Slade's team took to the field ahead of the 1-0 victory against Fulham.
Thousands of blue scarves were held aloft inside the stadium on a day of huge celebration in the Welsh capital.
The match went ahead after earlier concerns the big day could be ruined by safety fears over the damaged stadium roof. Part of the Canton and Ninian stands were affected by the high winds overnight.
But, after fire crews were called to make the stadium safe, the game was given the green light as Cardiff fans finally had their moment to savour.
