Tan - really?

Fri Jan 09, 2015 6:01 pm

Firstly the news to has made me so happy. Back as we should be - blue. Well done to everyone that fought for this. Those weird few red's - have a word with yourself!

Happy with the red as an away, my most enjoyable years as a city fan were 92/93 under Eddie May we we had a blue home and red away kit. Love it!

Maybe now I can return to watching games again - not gone since the lucky red was introduced. Sham kit and not my club.

But one thing that I will not be doing, and the thought of this even makes me wanna throw up, is showing some kind of love in for Tan.

OK, well done, you has have backed down and turned us blue - but that's what we were anyway.... You were the numpty that changed us FROM blue in the first place. So if you want to accept the praise for changing back - you also accept the blame for f*cking it up in the first place.

You have backed down because you were looking like a cock, no one would renew tickets and you had no other options left. You could ave gone out and signed messi and ronaldo but you would have still been hated for destroying our identity - our soul. You had no choice coz ur investment was going down the pan rapid.

So, while I wholeheartedly thank you for backing down, you won't get my respect for it - you are replacing something you didn't need to f**k up in first place. If you really wanted a red team - you could have bought Wrexham - they wear red. You didn't you bout the bluebirds - the name should have been a bit of a giveaway.

So regardless of what you, your mother or John f Kennedy says - we are Cardiff city - the bluebirds. Just stop with the stupid comments in the press and run your club properly please. Again thank you for doing the right thing - shame it took you 3 years.

See you all tommorow - bluebirds!!!

Oh, by the way has he broken the news to the millions in Malaysia that rushed out to buy of shirt because we played in red? Oh wait... That's right we didn't sell any shirts in Asia. Silly me.

I guarantee you we will sell more blue ones than the Malaysia's have bought red ones. If you were awake at the time of the initial rebrand this was the line tan used - we will be more marketable in Asia. Asians buy shirts because of the colour and a club playing in red and owned by a Malaysian will sell merchandise. We didn't. We sold f**k all there and f**k all here due solely to one reason - the rebrand to red. Anyone that doesn't understand that is retarded to jack levels. So will we sell more blue ones? I think so. Name your amount and I will happily wager a bet on that one. Its a certain as tans trousers are too high.

If tan is smart, next years jersey will already be in production and a bluebirds badge ready to go, and these will be on sale by the end of February to capitalise on the blue happiness. But then again - tans PhD in football doesn't given me much confidence.

My point was NO sales were made in Malaysia even though that was the alleged justification of the change to red. I think we will NEVER sell shirts in Asia apart from the odd ex pat living there.

I 100% agree but you failed to mention the extra debt Tan has put on this club that will come back to haunt us in the future. I think Tan has played a divide a conquer trick with the city fans as most now appear to love him but what has he actually done?

Well the debt you talk about is Tan's money unlike previous chairmen / owners who saddled us with debt to third parties.

Anyway back to your question. It was widely acknowledged (even on here) that without the rebrand Tan has done pretty well by us. Training ground, getting rid of Langstone hanging over us (some of the third party debt I mentioned earlier), increase in capacity at stadium, getting rid of the Blues, new measures to ensure pitch is good quality, has raised the profile of our club by a season in the premiership which he bankrolled with an average manager being given lots of money, lots of money given to said manager which should have meant we stayed up, subsequently able to hold out for high fees for some of these players as he's a billionaire, no more monthly trips to court for wind up orders, reinvested in the academy to hopefully ensure we will have a bright future of young bluebirds, super cup final.

We are far, far more ready to push on than we ever have been. Now we should be united as we have the blue back and the bluebird prominent we need to show the world that.

However, people like you are just going to make us look petty if you continue to take pops at Tan.

People forget that or attribute it to red or dead which are separate.

We need to get over this and move on but constantly having a pop at Tan is hugely counter productive.
