We understand a meeting between Vincent Tan and other board members has taken place. Tan is now considering his decision

We are hearing a suggestion from sources at the club that Cardiff could, in fact, wear blue at the home match against Fulham tomorrow.
The general assumption has been any return to blue would have to wait until next season based on Football League rules. We are in the process of seeking clarification

Ok, we think we have some sort of clarification on the kit conundrumn.
Our understanding is Cardiff City COULD actually wear blue at home against Fulham on Saturday and for future home matches this season.
It is believed the Bluebirds will be allowed by the Football League as long as both the opposition team and match officials agree in each individual case.
This is, of course, assuming Tan gives the green light

It's worth saying the details on whether Cardiff would definitely be allowed to play in blue this weekend and for home matches going forward are yet to be officially clarified by the football league.
Perhaps the important point is opposition teams would have to agree. Are Fulham likely to agree to Cardiff playing in blue - a move that would undoubtedly create a buoyant home atmosphere?
That, you would have to say, is unlikely.
More details as we get them.

The official Football League rule is this...
38.1 of Football League regulations states: "No changes either in the colours or combinations of colours shall be permitted during the course of the season."
There are some allowances for 'special circumstances' so we'll bring you full details as we get them

We are hearing from Russell Slade very shortly who is a rather excited man.
He says last night was 'a giant step forward' for the club and expects the rebrand reversal to get the go-ahead.
"It would be nice (team back in blue) if it was on Saturday. But Board still got to sit and ratify it."

There is no real timescale for any announcement but all the signs point to definitive news later today.
If things go as we all want it will be interesting to see the crowd on Saturday. Many fans last night predicted perhaps the biggest turnout ever at CCS for a day of celebration.

Here's what Mr Slade has been saying this morning. He believes this is happening!
“If we can play against Fulham in blue I suspect it will be the best atmosphere at a game since I’ve been here and probably some of the players have felt for a long time.
“For me it is the right decision because if you are going to successful in any company or football club you need everyone pulling together as a unit. Only that way can you sustain success. You need unity that’s always been my take.
“We are looking for momentum and there’s no doubt that could give us it. It could lift a little weight off our shoulders.”

Our full interview with Russell Slade is here.
Also worth mentioning Alex Revell is set to become a Cardiff player in the next 24 hours and could play against Fulham tomorrow.
Deal is done, just waiting on paperwork. A decision will also be made on Chelsea youngster Islam Feruz, although Slade was not overly enthusiastic about it.

I hope the fans turn out in big numbers tomorrow especially if we're in blue. Gonna be a party atmosphere.
