Tan cannot be trusted

Thu Jan 08, 2015 9:30 am

Tan cannot be trusted - debt to equity being the main example.
His cronies will lie to us and him to save face and their jobs.

Didn't we vote on a kit last season but now it is back to roughly what Tan wanted anyway?

2 weeks ago he said red is staying - why change his mind now?
He is trying to stop the protests that will further embarrass him and to ensure more fans buy season tickets for next year.

With crowds dwindling (even collapsing) he is losing face (doubt money is the problem to him), His credibility, business reputation and chances of selling the club are disappearing as fast as the crowds.

On Sky (christmas day?) he said red was staying so why would he change his mind now? Even if he did he cannot be trusted as he just said no change to the red on worldwide TV, and then 2 weeks later tells us he will change.

The meeting should be conducted in a calm manner - no shouting over each other to give him the chance to say the fans are divided, so he will keep the present situation going.
Has an agenda been sent out? Or is the aim to let it descend into anarchy? He can then blame the fans disrespect and division, so the club is not changing anything.

There should be 4 issues discussed (in an agenda)

1. Back to blue kit (no compromise stripey red **** barcelona type rubbish)

2. Old badge returned (no Mickey Mouse beer mat)

3. Canton and Grange End Stands supporters swapped (better atmosphere and a safer nicer position for the families who are abused and subject to bad language and chants from away supporters)

4. Stewards are to treat home fans like they treat the away fans (with respect, humour and common descency).

Again people bang on about going back to the "old badge".

Which of the 4 major badge rebrands are you meaning? or do you mean one of the badges before then?

Why not move on to a new badge? If the home kit is blue and we're going back to being the bluebirds, I doubt there would be much sense in keeping a massive red dragon on there.

I DO agree with you on the end swap though... Although there may need to be a little channel between the "canton lot" and the away fans...

I for one hope that you are not attending the meeting tonight with this attitude we will have lost any argument before you begin.although I. Disagree with the rebrand colour change I can see the chance for our fans to have a say in the matter and perhaps maybe just have a chance of reversing it.But insults and inflammatory remarks will not help.today is time for cool heads and sharp minds we must rely on those attending to do a good job and to put over the fans point of view. With regard to all your other demands they only serve to muddy the waters I use family stand with my grand kids and don't feel threatened or unsafe most foul language comes from our own fans the away teams seem to have chants and song with less foul language and more varied and original. After many years around a negotioning table as union rep I learnt softly softly catchee monkey

No distractions by talking about changing the Canton, actions of the stewards. Concentrate on the important issue - BLUE!!

All round Stockholm syndrome it seems.

What other choice is there, no one knows what's going to be offered anyway so people have to go.

But if he does offer a return to blue then what? Say no you can't be trusted and leave? How does that get reported in the media. If he announces a return to blue then goes against it the boycotts would be unlike anything ever seen and he knows that.

What happens if the club put a statement out we will be blue next season everyone buys season tickets the season comes along and we are in red again?

Can the club be done for that ? Ridsdale got away with the Golden ticket money for transfers I'm sure tan can do the same

To be fair. If I was kidnapped and the kidnappers made me change my shirt and gave me £150 million I would probably love them too

World War 3, Cardiff edition.

In seriousness though, if they marketed it fully as a return to blue re-new now, and then changed their minds again, then they would actively false advertised a product to make financial gain which I'm sure is illegal and as result would leave themselves open to 1000's of complaints to trading standards. In any case if they did that we would be entitled to a full refund as the product bought was not what advertised.

I doubt they would be that stupid but you never know with this club sometimes.

They'd only hurt our chanses of returning to blue.

I can understand people being pissed off and frustrated etc. But taking out those frustrations in tonight's meeting would spell disaster. Literally all it can do is push our goals further away.

We need to remain calm, and collected. Above all respectful. And if things go well and we do return to our roots then we doo all need to move forward as one and bring Tan with us. If we go back to blue and there's still vocal upset with him, we will not go far.

I'm probably too forgiving. There's no way that I'd be singing Tan Tan he's our man. BUT I've never seen the point in hurling insults. It can only do damage to our reputation.

Trust him or not unless you personally or you know someone who can afford to fully buy him out then we have to trust him and hope that he offers us blue and sticks to it.

Going in there like a bull in a china shop (no pun intended) would achieve f**k all for a colour change, respect from both sides will work much more to our advantage and please somebody sit on Dai Hunt if he's there. :cussing:

Agree also people are not thinking, the media will be there as well! so tan cannot say something and not do it or retract what he says. Suicide on his part.
