It would not be the first time Tan has promised something then doubles back.
1. Debt to equity - promised that all debt will be turned into equity to ensure a debt free football club - never happened.
2. First proposed that the rebrand would not be going ahead due to the anger of the fans, yet announced that in fact, the rebrand WAS going ahead such a short time afterwards.
3. Back to blue?![]()
Could this all be a ploy to 'unite' fans and sell season tickets? To then turn around and decide that he actually does 'quite like the red' and so will not be returning to blue? I just can't believe that so soon after announcing we will be staying red, he suddenly decides to listen to reasonCall me paranoid, but I just don't trust the man!

But his handling of this football club shows he has no real instinctive business sense.
You learn your business and its customer base (existing and potential) to ensure the business develops and grows. He has done the exact opposite.
Tan is no businessman just a bully with important friends in his own country.
He thinks Westerners will just lie down and take his bullying tactics that work so well in his culture, as long as money, power and influence are exerted.
