HAS TO BE BLUE................I know so many who have been supporting for 40+ years (including me) who could barely care less now. Nor their sons.....who would usually be the next generation lifeblood of the club.

Subject to:

1. Slade out.
2. Debt capitalised.
3. New share issue. Offered only to Season Ticket holders.
4. A fan group member nominated to the board with a silver share.

Whatever is 'agreed' to be put in public statement and season ticket holders balloted to accept with simple yes or no vote.

Tan doesn't hold ALL the cards or there would not be a meeting! He needs to find another way too. If he pulls out, he loses face (unthinkable) and if he stays on current basis, he either puts more money in or it fails!

1. Slade out..............purely a footballing decision. Could be sold to him on basis that fans are disillusioned.
2. Debt capitalised..........essentially re-sets the counter and allows a 'fresh' start.
3. New share issue. Offered only to Season Ticket holders......... proves fans' loyalty and commitment, raising 'footballing' funds to allow chance of the football team progressing.
4. A fan group member nominated to the board with a silver share......helps ensure that board decisions are taken with at least one eye on footballing implications. Could be sold on basis that decisions would get implied fan support and prevent a return to the polarised position of today.

All sounds reasonable to me.

Might even sell it on basis that if he decides he wants out down the line, then he can sell his recently capitalised shareholding to existing shareholders, including the ST holding shareholders.

I would be happy to try and sell that. No loss of face whatsoever ..............

We can't demand so much here. We need to move with baby steps along with keeping discussion polite and respectful. No "demands". We have no cards to bluff with, we cannot make demands. We can ask / plead / beg with him and explain why this means so much to us.

Then it's a simple, "Mr Tan. If you do not do this, you are going to lose a few thousand ST holders. We promise you, blue with a new / old badge is the best financial option for you and will see people buying merchandise once again and going to games again"
