I would be happy with a return to original colours and traditional badge but no debt to equity.

Totally agree. Who says we have to spend loads or money to be successful anyway. We spent more than the other promoted clubs in premier last year and got battered. To be fair to Slade his success in football has been creating successful teams (to a degree with little money) and I have a feeling he might shock some of us and make us more competitive with less money.
I know I was always proud of the dave Jones sides who punched well above their weight, even more so in some respects than the malky sides who had resources. Being the underdog in blue would suit us more than a favourite in red.
As regards worrying about debt it's all owed to tan anyway so if he pulls the plug he loses everything. I would rather penny pinch for a few seasons in our proper kit while he recoups his dough to sell than carry along down the road we are in an alien kit and not getting success anyway.

Absolutely agree.
If we do go back to blue, what will we moan and complain about then?
Probably the team and the manager and the gradual return of the club to League 1 or lower.
I'm afraid that although I think any return to blue would in part unite the fans, unfortunately we have to accept that for many supporters the standard of football played and the division we are playing in will have as much an influence on whether they attend matches as what colour shirt we play in.
If we continue to play such dire football and either get relegated or end the season in the lower reaches of the division then season ticket sales for next season are going to plummet, even if we do go back to blue.

Will you then moan about how shit the signings are? How little money we are spending in the transfer market? All the quality we have shipped out and replaced with budget players?

There's gonna be a degree of give and take expected from the owner, what that may be is anybody's guess as the original agreement involved investment in return for the rebrand. I believe a lot of belts will be being tightened around the club (as has been witnessed already with the appointment of a bargain basement manager and his assistant and the quality of player we're pursuing in the Jan window).
The 442 system will continue to be played by the manager, we'll continue to be starved of possession, the football will continue to be dire and boring and the results will still be poor and disappointing, will a return to blue bring the fans rushing back in their thousands and stop the boooing of our players with this being served up each game?
I go to watch City playing and pay good money to do so but tbh I wonder about my sanity when I look at what's served up by the team and manager, whether a return to blue will give fans the feel good factor and if it does for how long will it last with shite football on the menu every week and little or no investment in the club?
Happy days we're going blue again but Christ what kind of football are we gonna be watching for the next 2/3 or more years?
A few posters stated they would be happy for us to be lingering around the fringes of league 1 or 2 as long as the team wore blue shirts and a badge with a more prominent bluebird on it..those days may be nearer than we think.

not with me sunshine. my view is simple. complete reversal of rebrand, no concessions. if he says he'll cut back the budget, then so be it, i'm fed up of him playing childish games with grown men, this is our club and i will not tolerate any more crap from that man
