What about the red seats?!

Tue Jan 06, 2015 8:56 pm

If (and it's a huge if), we get back to our traditional blue and badge, it'll be additional expense to Tan to change them!

Now THAT would be a bitter pill for him to swallow!

Keep them, red will hopefully be in our history. Like it or not red has played a big part in our most successful period.

Why? It's just a constant reminder of the rebrand. I want us back in blue and to forget this entire period.

It's true.
What you want tan to do reverse the kit, change the badge back, change the seats, christ people will want our racist manager back next. It's not all going to happen over night. We should take what little hope we have and be grateful for anything we can get back.

Ideally yes but tan offers a slight olive branch and all I've seen on here tonight is demands.

If I was Tan reading half this stuff tonight I'd say fck em greedy lot.

We've been reasonable since 2012. This meeting may be our only chance to get our point across. If they want us to stay they need to change us back to blue.

Agree people want everything but not considering tans position, ! Prefer money on players than on removing seats! The rebrand is our history so cannot erase :thumbright:

I can't even see us going back to blue if I'm honest, but your post just goes to show, what ever happens in this meeting, some where along the line there is always something else for people to have a moan about, and that's not having a go at you,it's red or blue or wrong badge, not next to away fans, prices to high,if we do get our blue back, just wait for the first clown to bring up a protest about back to red

Agree a good chance to get the blue back and that's what we should be trying for and hopefully the badge.

People go in spouting some of the crap I've read it could certainly back fire and we end up with nothing. As if he is going to change the seats he just put in.

Despite what we want, and despite what people think. Compromise is the way forward. You can can express your views but it needs to be done correctly. One step at a time.

Not really sure what you mean as you seem to be agreeing with me lol.
If we had just the blue kit back i would be over the moon and accept that as a compromise.

a bit like saying, i lost my foot to gangrene, but to remind me of where i come from, i'll sew it back onto my leg because its part of my history.

One step at a time, can handle seats as long as we're in blue!

An all blue stadium would be nice though, and lets all be honest, how stadium would be top notch if it was all blue :bluescarf: ;)

Now that is a silly statement! You will have no foot that will remind you that you did have a foot once
That is part of your history having it chopped off? :laughing6:

Why would gangrene be one of If not your biggest achievements in your life :? I don't think your example makes any sense in what we are discussing.

Ideally new blue seats would be lovely but I think going in asking for that is just a pure piss take. I can live with red seats over a lot of other stuff.

Re: What about the red seats?!

I want a return to blue as much as the next man but I fear we're getting ahead of ourselves here.

That said, if or when we return to blue, how about getting some FAW badging on those Red seats as the CCS is the current and, rapidly becoming, the spiritual home of our fantastic national team. Call it the FAW stand or something as thats a bit if red in our stadium I could accept!

"Hopefully" being the key word.

well why is selling out your history and tradition a big achievement and something worth remembering?

you didnt just say you can live with red seats, you said:

'Keep them…. Like it or not red has played a big part in our most successful period.'

how is it a piss take by the way to want to rip out those red seats? they shouldn't have been there in the first place, its like a tumour on the CCS.

People need to think how much it would cost to replace the seats, replacing them could mean no transfer budget for the summer

well why the hell did tan put them in then? other than spite there is no reason for it. 5000 seats, it couldn't cost more than £20-30 per seat to change with that volume, that would be £100-150k. less than 1/3 of the legal fees to pursue mackay.
