A forum for all things Cardiff City

Cardiff City fans need to actually calm down. If you watch the Christmas Day message clearly Vincent Tan actually states he doesn't agree with protests but is open to Dialouge. So what hes actually saying is that he will listen in sensible manner, but that was missed by every Cardiff Supporter who went off on a tangent because he said the red lines etc.
Now think it through, clearly hes not interested in ploughing in more millions of investment. Hes tried that, got promoted and relegated, so he's clearly going for a different stratergy, to satablise the business and make it self suffient you can see that in the the transfers and choice of manager, at the same time to be self suffient outside the premiership he needs regular paying customers and he cant have that with boycotts in place so he has no choice but to comprimise with his customers, as that's the only way forward. Lets be honest hes ploughed in millions and millions and back to where he started in the Championship, so a change of tactics needs to be applied. You won't get a richer owner and hopefully for you lot he's changed tact and you will be back in blue. So nows not the time to go slagging him off or be abusive but to actually engage your brains!

Got to agree.
Tue Jan 06, 2015 7:51 pm
So is he agreeing that we could be going back to blue?
Tue Jan 06, 2015 7:51 pm
I've been saying this ever since I first started posting on this Forum.
Abuse, Boycotts, Anti Tan songs, Non Renewal etc was NEVER going to work. In fact those tactics have probably lengthened the period of time it would take us to return to blue.

Agree

Quite right
The boycott strategy is the only way.
Abuse breads more abuse and its downwards from there.
Let's show everyone how honourable we are
Cardiff City can unite from this.
Let's end his terrible chapter and move on
Let's see what Thursday brings first though.

Daya has gone from calling us " tans arse lickers " and all sorts on here the last week or so to this post on his facebook, you couldnt make it up..... hmmm maybe his phones been ringing to

What?
You mean double agent Daya?
Daya is a wind up with a massive soft spot for Cardiff City
And most of our fans.
I think he lost some respect in some fans. But in general
The vast majority are straight and took the shit for debt to equity
Hats of to those who stayed.
Hating the badge and red but accepting it for the future of the club.
Slowly realising the equity games tan played and the pain and embarrassment they
Suffered in process

I like the bloke. I've known him since I was little. He is a wind up merchant and gives it large but he's a decent fella.

I do not understand, its Blue with no major signings and a mediocre squad and a functional manager, the premiership and glory fans will not turn up hence lower crowd attendances or Red with maybe a little more investment and the backlash from the blue brigade (which I am one, though I gave him the benefit of the doubt at the beginning) what sort of business plan is this, to fill our ground.
Being there last Friday was like being at the Cardiff Blues game, which reminds me the Blues fans eventually won the argument and have returned back to their spiritual home the Arms Park , did not Tan learn a lesson from the Blues fans who protested against the move despite free buses from town by letting Peter Thomas and all that will listen know that they were not happy at our stadium, and I believe fan power won the day, and of course we did not want them there at our football stadium
The another thing I cant understand is why he extended the capacity of the ground knowing the grass roots feeling of the fans ? the sooner he leaves the club the better and sells to someone who understands the passion that we have for our club not just a few noisy ones but across the silent majority that turn up every week

Because I liked the post Chief so I put it on here. It's a forum for opinions and that is exactly what Daya put.

Indeed
I have advocated 'reasoned dialogue' since Day 1 and I still believe it is the
ONLY way fans are likely to get through to Vincent Tan
We should all now take a step back and see what develops on Thursday evening before making any further rash/demanding statements. It will be a very long fall
IF things don't go as we believe they might
