Tue Jan 06, 2015 6:52 pm

Fans keep on about blue kit and badge but is the badge really important?,I know the bluebird is a must and should be on our badge, but was it there in 1927?,we harp on and on about winning the cup,but alot of people don't even know what the club crest was back then

The bluebird is on the badge and the Dragon that's good. Enough for me ,it's better than hamman badge

Most club crests back then where the towns/city's coat of arms to save costs and to get the area recognised. In my opinion our Bluebird needs to be prominent on the chest. To me the Dragon is the symbol of my nation, not my football club and both shouldn't be linked. In Tans Ideologic world, every football club in England should play in White and have lions on it's badge.

Be proud of both the dragon and bluebird, but don't link the both. :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

The FA cup has nothing to do with this.

The question is which badge do you identify to Cardiff City?

Both, one might be the right badge and the other one just a beer mat,but both along with many others through the years have been on the shirt

I'd quite happily take that. Badges change over time, that has the right colours and tee right prominent animal.

Thank you! Someone with the same opinion as me. I've been labelled a hypocrite for being a very vocal pro-blue who still continues to buy the BLUE shirts. Badges come and go, colours should never change. :bluescarf:

The "Fire & Passion" thing is really childish...

Sam Hammam's badge was tackier than our current on in my opinion. I hate both though. Bring back the proper one.

Re: club badge

Personally I'd like us to use the old badge for commercial use and this:

Then on the kit a bit like Liverpool do. Especially in the initial years following the reversal to drive home the reversal.

However if much rather have current badge and blue kit. Current badge is better than SH's, although both are ass. I'd wager there would have been little push back if the initial rebrand was that badge and a red away kit.

It does look shit Even if the bluebird on it was more prominent it's a terrible badge which looks like a 10 year old designed it in 2 mins
