Call me ungrateful but both are just important. If he wants he can keep the carp badge for the away red strip.

Very good question? then once again a massive divide will happen with our fans at the meeting and after the meeting.
Tue Jan 06, 2015 2:55 pm
Sorry but it has to be both.
Tue Jan 06, 2015 2:56 pm
I'd go along with that compromise (personally).
Tue Jan 06, 2015 2:56 pm
Blue shirt is the main priority!
The current badge has a bluebird on it, might not be prominent, but it's there, so it's lower on my list!

Agree with you barry, cant always have everything you want but blue shirt is what we want.
Tue Jan 06, 2015 4:02 pm
The blue shirt is the most important issue.
The badge has changed many times over the years with the only common denominator being the bluebird which only came to prominence in late 1950's. The club crest, which proudly adorns this website, has only been in existence since the mid 1980's and since then it was replaced by the st.davids cross and then later re-designed. For me its the bluebird that is important not the crest.
Tue Jan 06, 2015 4:09 pm
could live with the badge (just about) if that what it takes to restore our color
Tue Jan 06, 2015 4:10 pm
I would compromise for a return of our colours. Whilst we all want the badge back sometimes a fair compromise is required. We have had many different badges so come on lads compromise if needed.
Tue Jan 06, 2015 4:15 pm
What if the people attending take some of the compromise badges designed by our own fans, wehre the dragon and the bluebird share equal promenence?
Some of them were really good, and may be better received by the club if they are willing to compromise. If anything it gives the club more oppurtunity to show they are on the same level as the fans.
Whats a more statement of "We cherise and respect our fans" than a fan designed badge
Tue Jan 06, 2015 4:17 pm
Has to be a blue shirt, the badge has changed many times over the yrs I'd only ask the Bluebird is made slightly bigger than it currently is but he can keep his Dragon badge if he wants but we are the Bluebirds we play in blue and the badge to me doesn't mean as much although understand ppl who feel differently but we can't have it all,our transfers under slade look like they are cutting the cloth which may be the beginning of the end for tan and that's the best news we could want
Tue Jan 06, 2015 4:23 pm
fair compromise for me. we get blue, hes gets his beer mant badge. could live with that
Tue Jan 06, 2015 4:37 pm
I do hope we are not carried away with this. At the moment all we know is that a few fans have been called together for a meeting.
There is a distinct possibility he has absolutely no intention of reversing the rebrand.
Think we need to keep our feet on the ground a bit here.

Absolutley, I dont think we will return to blue at all. I think its just going to be a "Maybe" back to blue, as long as you dont protest and boycott with the No Blue No Renew campaign
Tue Jan 06, 2015 4:45 pm
no compromises should be accepted.
complete reversal, plus ripping out those red seats is all we should stand for. i've had enough of these stupid games tan and his minions are playing, we should be enjoying supporting our club, not having to put up with crap like this.
it would just be classic divide and rule tactics to stop the fans being united against the regime, but sadly i wouldn't put it past them to do this

typical cardiff fans...
cant agree on anything and we dont even know whats on the table yet...if anything

I'm in too. Like some other posters stated, at least the beer mat badge has a bluebird on it. Happy to play in red or any other colour away.
A great compromise under the circumstances.

thats life for you. people have different priorities and different views, thats the same for football fans across the board.
its much easier to manipulate a divided fan base as tan has shown.

I don't like the badge as it looks like the dragon is trampling on the bluebird. I would like the badge used on this forum or the one Karl designed the circle one as a compromise

Shirt is the most important thing, however both would be perfect!
I'm not against a badge change, but our current one is embarrassing.
If they'd got some professionals to design ssomething it wouldn't have been too bad.
Tue Jan 06, 2015 5:08 pm
Have a crest of the same shape, with the bluebird and the dragon swapped.
Tue Jan 06, 2015 5:35 pm
The badge is secondary, the main issue is the blue home shirts. Besides, we've had several badges on our shirt during my time. Just as long as the bluebird has more prominence than it does now. It would be good to get rid of the, rather camp, 'fire and passion' nonsense, though.
Tue Jan 06, 2015 6:00 pm
The badge as long as the Bluebird is prominent figure then I will be happy. We have changed our badge many times. My fav is the Bluebird on its own on a white crest.

Agree, as long as it remains with the bluebird even thought it's small it's still on the badge.
I hated Sams Leeds badge just as much but the blue is Cardiff colour.

Spot on no point in doing one without the other, you can see from the rest of the thread some would reluctantly accept it, some wouldn't. Explain that we want a United club and to do so we would need both, then the whole club will at last be moving in the right direction again.
Also explain that people would renew and even early on the promise of the return of both.....

A return to blue is the most important, and a compromise on the badge,i'm happy if he designs a new one,but with an input from fans,we harp on constantly about 1927(what badge was on the shirt then)
Tue Jan 06, 2015 7:08 pm
This...
badge and Blue are equally important to me

Don't think there was a badge on the shirt then. Was always about shirt colour wasn't it?
