I first saw him play in the playoff final and he was the difference between Rotherham going up and Slade taking Leyton Orient up. I've seen him play several times since and he was also impressive against us, hitting the bar with the header at the end. Revell will definitely improve our front line, he will give us something we are lacking and lead the line a lot better than Macheda. I don't care that he's 31, Alex Revell is a hard working, mobile target man who will put it about, lead the line well and give 100%. He will be a good signing for us.

Very true.
Slade is looking to sign 'an old fashioned' centre forward who doesn't score many goals to go with his old fashioned style & tactics. Seems par for the course.

Saying that Rudy had an average record for us and seems to be better for Rovers.

What are everyones opinions on Alex Revell now? I thought he had a good debut and backed up everything I said in my post. The majority were negative about this signing. I hope everyone is more optimistic and will get behind him now.
