Looking at his goals per game ratio this should be a non starter, so hopefully it is just lazy journalism based on the fact that Slade has managed him previously.

it seems slade got the job on the basis that he promised we could challenge for promotion, even though this involved shipping out all the high earners and replace them with cheaper lower league and championship players.

slade is an honest manager, but he is no water into wine manager. you usually get what you pay for in football, i cannot see us getting promotion unless slade is backed more financially.

Some want the ronaldo's though wez , personally i couldnt give a toss if we had 11 div 2 players brought in to replace the lot as long as we stayed up and showed some fight. Its all about the glory and big name players for some. A team playing well that gel together will get you up any league. I mean look at bournemouth and there 11 superstars. Just can't see how Revell will improve our attack. We've already got strikers that can't score. I'm not one for saddling us with more debt but this signing baffles me. Malone I sort of understand as we're shipping goals and its a defensive option. Revell I dont get.
