Would you accept Vincent Tan if he

Tue Jan 06, 2015 7:41 am

Changed us back to blue with the correct badge.

I no city have other problems what club doesn't but ive been bitter about it all but I would accept and back Tan and welcome him to the stadium instead of hating him

You ?

Yes, but also a good deal on season tickets would help to build bridges as well.

I would

There would be resentment for a while, sure. After years of this of course there would. BUT if he said he was sorry, changed us back and showed to make a real effort connecting with the fan base, I would accept the apology after a suitable pissed off period

There are other problems sure, but every club has those problems. getting up the league, primadonna players, finances etc. etc. But the blue / red issue has not only torn our history, but also the fan base. a united fan base, I think, will do wonders for the club.

Mind you, IF it does happen we'd probably STILL be split and those who have forgiven vincent tan be yelled at by those who haven't and vica versa

Agree with all that.
PS: How long do you think a "suitable pissed off period" should be? :laughing6:

A couple of years, possibly. The same amount of time I've already been pissed off with him for.

BUT that depends on

#1 IF it happens at all
#2 His attitude during the change
#3 His attitude in general afterwards. Treatment of fans, press releases

He has enough money so could theoretically do a lot to make up for what he has done and could possibly (with the right attitude) lower the POP [Pissed Off Period] to a year or so.

It would be a fresh start for me and ive been one of those people pissed off from day one with it all.

Absolutely if he did change us back blue and our original badge! We need his money and we can finally move on and talk about the football rather than politics we've endured! :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Of course I would accept him if he gave us our identity back otherwise it would be pointless him doing it.
Maybe we could change the song about him to:

Vincent Tan, Vincent Tan you're a hero,
Vincent Tan, Vincent Tan you've seen,
Vincent Tan, Vincent Tan you're a hero,
you've been a hero since 2015

:laughing6: Sorry I couldn't resist

Yes, he has don't little else wrong.

Re: Would you accept Vincent Tan if he

He's done a lot wrong, has said some terrible things and disrespected out club and history. He had also done good! I for one would want to move forward. I don't want to get to excited just yet.

A lot of what he as said has been either taken out of context or interpreted to suit fans opinions! But have said stupid things as well :old:

Allan you covered every angle in that post!
You are correct but some terrible quotes as well " more like you will always be red" and I will never forget him laughing with the Hull owner about changing our name and we will see. Like I said, move on if this happens! He could still resolve all the issues, sometimes it's hard to apologise but it does go a long way.

Let's hope come Thursday night the debates can return to the football field. It's long overdue.
