" I AM GLAD HE IS GOING TO THE MEETING "

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=152567 :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Spoke to Dave tonight :thumbright: :bluescarf:

Dave Sugarman aka TLG I have a lot of Respect for :thumbright: :bluescarf:

Dave has not attended one game since the meeting with the Club in may 2012. Dave was one of the 10 out of the 13 who voted " NO " to the Rebrand :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Dave posted this

I got a call from Wayne Nash early this afternoon inviting me to attend the meeting at the Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday evening. As far as I can gather from our brief conversation, the purpose of the meeting is simply to enable a cross-section of supporters to express their feelings on the rebrand and the current situation at the football club directly to Mehmet Dalman and Ken Choo. The Chairman and CEO will then pass those views on to owner Vincent Tan, who apparently requested that this meeting be set up. As far as I'm aware, there is no pre-planned agenda of any kind.

Those invited include officers from CCSC and CCST, members of the club's Travel Group, contributors to the two main message boards and a handful of fans who have been randomly selected from the database. CCFC officials are seemingly keen to involve supporters with a wide variety of views on the club and the rebrand in particular, ranging from those who have accepted or embraced the changes to those who have been boycotting matches since the rebrand was confirmed (hence my invitation).

I was initially cautious about accepting the invitation, but did so after being encouraged to attend by several other people who are currently boycotting games. That's about as much as I can tell you at this stage.

Good luck Dave. I for one couldn't be trusted to be in the same room as Tan but Dave will put his points over eloquently.

don't hold back, this is an good opportunity to try and get some real answers from the staff. don't take any vague answers. so called 'compromises' shouldn't wash with anyone.

and tell the truth about how the fans are feeling. don't be deceived by the tan yes men and accept their skewed interpretation of events.

good luck guys and i hope you have a successful meeting :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Another lie from the club.

These fans havent been chosen at random.

Its the same fans who get "picked by random" every meeting.

Unless you are in the circle you are fucked.

I don't care who's going to the meeting, my only hope is that they are honest about how the fans are feeling as a majority and go there with one aim, to walkout with a fully reversed rebrand.

Call me a cynic but I am pessimistic about it all

I'm glad that Dave is going, too. Had a long chat with him last summer,(2013), when I bought some programmes off him. Huge respect for the bloke, even if I don't agree with boycotting. None of us are naiive, but hopefully Vincent Tan is finally getting the message.

Are you going, Annis?

Annis, threat of Non-renewal needs to be on fan's agenda. I've not received invitation but got in touch with Wayne and have relayed my opinions.
Would be grateful if you and others can explain how serious and how strong the NoBlueNoRenew movement is

Cheers, Jenks

I seriously hope that this meeting is successful. This may be our only chance to get through to Tan.

We can't be dealing with anyone attending saying that the rebrand isn't an issue, Tan will instantly single out that one person's comment and say something along the lines of "the majority are willing to move forward in red" and that "the blue brigade are a vocal minority".

No doubt that the club will be looking for some sort of compromise to regain our support, and that compromise should ONLY be the return of our blue identity, nothing less.

Annis
I hope that there is no abuse or racist remarks made at this meeting and that everyone who attends thinks about what the fans want and not their own agenda. I would like to know how successful they feel the rebrand has been in financial terms and why do they continue to go against the fans wishes when from our views the rebrand is a total failure.
I waited 40 years for city to be in the top division and the last few years have been the worst footballing years for me . Without Tan we would not have got to the premiership that is for sure ,but without him we would still be blue and I have come to realise that means more to me

I believe there will be no abuse etc but emotions will be running high.
I agree identity means much more than false glory and that should be everyones aim, our identity returned ASAP :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

All the best for the meeting, Annis. The 're-brand' is the crucial issue. Everything else is secondary. :bluescarf:
