" Cardiff City's Lowest Ever/So maybe Fans Really are Turning their backs on the Club "

If I was the Club,I would be very very worried.

Cardiff City v Colchester Friday 2nd Jan 2015. Crowd 4,194 including 300 Colchester Fans,100 plus Comps & 100's of Premier Seats already paid for, but did not turn up.

So actually less than 3,500 Cardiff Fans turned up.

But lets go by the actual official attendance of 4,194 it was a new record for Cardiff City Stadium,But worse than that it was the lowest crowd for a Cardiff home game for 15 years.

The last time Cardiff had a lower crowd for a home FA Cup tie was back in November 1999 when 3,095 turned up to watch the Bluebirds beat Leyton Orient 3-1 in a first round replay at Ninian Park.

Friday night's attendance was the club's lowest ever for an FA Cup tie at the third round stage or beyond

We will soon find out how serious a problem it is.

Unless the team start improving their performances we could quite easily see a collapse in ST sales.

And of course a serious push by the NoBlueNoRenew could be interesting.

I totally agree that we will soon find out how deep the feelings of the fans are!

The attendance at the cup tie could be put down to other things than fans' feelings, but the time is coming where a league game will be boycotted. It will happen soon and I reckon that by filling the pubs that day rather than the seats, a deafening message will resound in the boardroom!! :bluescarf:

Every fan, ask yourself this: "Do I feel part of this club?". If you can't say "yes!" immediately, then something is drastically wrong.

I also agree that the ST sales will probably collapse. After all, if will be easy to buy a ticket on the door the way it is going.

I know I'm opinionated and some on this board don't like me for that, but we've got to have the balls to front "him" up. Surely we can agree on that (except the red brigade of course).

I'll not be renewing after 37 years support. The 3 people I go with are the same. Fans don't recognise the club any more, but more importantly, the club doesn't recognise its fans

Agreed though I can't really see the team improving with that ridiculous appointment of a manager, along with returning our club back to blue we should appoint a proven manager at this level & allow him to bring in his own backroom staff & players. We are talking about offering £75k-£100k for a Millwall player who is no better than what we have at fee akin to some of our players wages!!

putting all the rebrand stuff to one side, how about the ticket prices as they are?

they have been steadily increasing such that it now costs between £429 and £689 for an adult. premiership prices for championship football. half season ticket costs (doubled for direct comparison) at a club in very rich area of london (Fulham FC) are between £280 and £800, with the majority of tickets below £500. CCFC prices are a disgrace and the club is taking advantage of the loyalty of fans.

hopefully now that we are buying cheap players in and getting rid of the high earners, in addition to thousands not renewing next season, there will be considerable scope to knock £50-100 off those prices. or, tan is just asset stripping and balancing the books in preparation to selling the club.

They are. I have friends who are giving season tickets away for free every week and half the time he can't give it away. I have three other friends who have decided to get season tickets with the Cardiff Devils ice hockey, and travel away with them now instead of CCFC. Another friend of mine says he has "fallen out of love with football" off the back that's just out of my friend group 8 season ticket holders and we are now down to 3

Tend to agree, I havent been able to make a few games recently and couldnt give them away, even had 2 the other week and no one wanted them. Thats never been a problem before.
