Must stick to 4-5-1/4-2-3-1

I know colchester were a league below us but all in all i think it was a pretty good performance from us we scored 3 goals and had the lions share of posession.
What was most encourouging for me was the fact we kept the ball and controlled the game something we havent done for a long time and this is the way forward from now on imo and having the extra man in midfield and whitts further up was key imo.

I hope slade keeps it like this and dosent go back to 442 which is failing and destined to keep on failing..

I hope so. We need to pack the midfield, and I don't think we can spare any defense so taking the man and leaving a lone gun up front will be best, I can't think of any other way around it.

My thinking, the midfield needs to be the strongest. That's where we want to be keeping the ball (or further upfield) and that's where the bulk of possession will lie. Other clubs have run all over us possession wise and that's 100% down to our midfield, I think.

Yeh i agree with you. The midfield is where we are getting dominated. If we can solve that and take control of the game there, then we can build on other areas and moving forward from there
