From where I see thing maybe It's the only away to regain a team, rip up the roots of this football force out the lazy overpaid disloyal players and invest in a good experienced manager and start over.
If you look at Leeds, Wolves, Man city, maybe a few more over the years their clubs were fuc**d the only thing that could of saved them was relegation, they rid out the crap and negativity the hangers on and reformed and they come back stronger!
If you take a look at the nucleus of our squad it's clear where the problem is -
Kenwyne Jones - Lazy Overpayed thinks hes too good even though he's dillusional and prob league one standard merit to effort.
Le Fondre - Has played in the premiership no ambition now almost 28 knows his best is behind him, talented but 20 goals+ No
Macheda - Overpayed, Over rated, not willing to work hard enough to get better
Maynard, Overlooked, Overpayed, to concerned in his status as a footballer and the material life than working hard
Whittingham - Some teams rely on set peices to win them points, we don't never the less even on bad days he is a threat.
Gunnarsson - one of the better players in the squad still has bags of ambition
Noone - A step of the gas this season, possibly hindered from injury - now hes played in the prem his desire is questionable
Pilkington - Half decent, slow I still think conway was far better even if he was quite 2 dimensional
Kimbo - Does he even know what year it is anymore? can he even read english?
Adeyemi - I think he has potential to fit into the right team, how effectively is debatable
Ralls - at the moment is doing what a championship midfielder should be doing, working hard, running, he's not scared to
have a go, always looks interested and keen to be playing
Kadeem Harris - Very Talented, Given Slades already poor tactics I don't think it helps defensively, but he's a threat and an option any day of the week
Brayford - Not seen much of the superstar rightback he was tipped to be, I worry if he's lost confidence and ambition after not being considered good enough for the premiership.
Manga - Obviously a good defender, one of a handful who I would keep from this first team
Morrison - Heavy footed, makes me feel uneasy - we've conceeded 4 or more goals more times thanthe previous two campaigns under malky mackay already - Thats a problem.
Fabio - Soon to be gone
John - Bags of potential young ambitious, definitely Keep him
Turner - Obviously proven at this level, I still think he should be playing with someone more experienced or talented at the back, not as our main CB.
Connolly - Billy Connolly?
Marshall - Need I say more, Top goalkeeper who helped us to the championship title, whether he is he 100 fit right now or whats going through his mind currently is anybody's guess.
My point is I think relegation or border line administration where we have to sell up is an opportunity to start over and build a side that will play for the club.
Also We've spent million and millions on players, How much really after this season could we even make back of this team!..

Have said this, get the kids in Moore, ralls, Adeyeme, Harris and John, have a clear out and keep some experience like turner and Connolly and you have a decent base of players who actually try.
