Boycott Fulham Home

Sat Jan 03, 2015 2:34 pm

'Boycotting' Colchester at home does nothing.Surely boycotting League game is the next step forward.Even if you have a ST,which i do,we need to Boycott the home games. This would send out a message with no fans there. :bluescarf: :ayatollah:
Wonder what they'd say the attendance is then :sleepy2: :sleepy2:

They would do exactly the same as every other game and announce the attendance to include absent season ticket holders in their calculations

If you feel so strongly about a 'boycott' then do it off your own back rather than waiting for others to take the lead and have the courage of your (supposed) convictions

Personally, I believe a 'boycott' of games would hurt nobody other than the abandoning fans themselves and the team on the pitch (as alluded by Russell Slade after the Colchester game last night)

I guess it's a case of whether paying supporters want to support their team when they really need it (i.e. during a lean period on the pitch) or whether they want to concentrate all their efforts on one man (albeit temporary owner Tan) despite him (a) not attending games, (b) showing no sign of listening, and (c) trying to sell the club anyway

Team every time for me, so I'll be at the Fulham game with or without you ;)

Everyone was so keen to support a boycott of the Colchester game, with it being on TV,those who didn't go to the match, could still watch it on TV,lack of replies to this thread (the one who did tried to shoot it down),says alot

If an organized boycott was in place I would join in, but it would take A LOT to make over 16,000 season ticket holders boycott a game they've already paid to attend and I don't think for one minute that it will happen in the league this season. But even a few thousand season ticket holders boycotting won't make a difference. Didn't the police announce there was 8,200 season ticket holders missing at the Watford game and the actual attendance was 14,000? Hardly made a difference other than the stadium looking a tiny bit more empty and caused a bit of laughter when the club announced the official attendance as 22,000.

Personally I don't want to boycott (this season for a league match) as I've already paid for my season ticket and believe that the club wouldn't care one bit about my absence as they've already taken my money. An organized boycott should take place when tickets haven't already been bought, i.e if we draw a big club in the FA Cup, or in preparation for next season when the "NoBlueNoRenew" campaign is meant to take effect.

I can understand people not wanting to waste money and boycott a game they ve already paid to attend, like you said next round of fa cup, would be perfect if we did draw a big club, problem being the thousands who don't bother to show up now, would return, plus the glory hunters and the red brigade would show up,most prob filling the stadium,so turning a supposed boycott into a joke and giving tan great satisfaction
