boycotting matches not the way to go

Rather see big attendances at each game, with everyone wearing blue. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

A complete boycott in a league game would make a massive statement would get big coverage on the TV where as wearing blue is getting little coverage apart from us seeing it in the ground.

Agreed, our 19:27 protest last season in the Premiership got zero coverage. The Tan Out banners tonight got zero coverage and everyone going on protest marches, wearing blue, holding up blue scarfs etc gets zero coverage. A complete boycott will get coverage however, all they talked about at the start of the game tonight was the lack of numbers attending.

NOBODY can see our protests when given zero coverage, but EVERYONE can see our crowd attendance if we boycott.

I can see your point but can a complete boycott be done??? Maybe handing out flyers around the ground .... hmmmmmm maybe

so would vincent tan, more money in his pocket. the matches aren't even televised so would have minimal impact. a boycott, on the other hand, has a far greater impact on the club. not only visually, but financially. i know a few hundred thousand in lost sales isn't that much in the wider scheme of things, but a loss to the club nonetheless. it also forces the CEO to explain to tan why the season ticket revenue is down. with 25,000 fans singing for blue, it would just be business as usual from tan and ken choo's point of view. :ayatollah:

It be difficult as you will have people who just won't do it.

Imagine this in a league game would get huge coverage.

It's not funny at all. All tonight did was make it look like our fans can't be arsed.

Great advert for any potential buyer.

If we had real passion for the cause then there would be thousands inside protesting, not down the pub or at home posting on messageboards.

I feel sorry for the ones who did make an effort to protest tonight inside, especially if they got bans.

We've gone down that route and we've ultimately failed. Any protest we do doesn't get given any coverage, was our 19:27 protest ever talked about on Match Of The Day last season? Were we given any real support? Were all the Tan Out banners shown on TV tonight? What's the point in trying when we are given zero coverage? Tan has the wealth and contacts to control the media and this is why nothing we do will ever get coverage. The only thing that will get noticed is a huge drop in attendance figures and everyone will then finally realise us Cardiff fans have had enough.

great to see you want tan to get the best price possible for the club :ayatollah:

i made the effort to go yesterday, but i sympathise with those that stayed at home. though in reality only a couple of thousand actually boycotted, the rest wouldn't have gone anyway.

maybe its all gettign zero coverage because the media and rest of the world see it as pointless? its tans club tans busniess tans house and if he wants to paint the walls red he can

we will never get a crowd to boycott a game its pointless, not only tha but season ticket money has already come in, the attendance will always show around 18k minimum.

lastly if we all went to the game and wore blue at least it would make the club more marketable to sell for tan

why would anyone buy a club where fans can be arsed, the less we have going to the game the less likely tan can sell the club
