A HUGE But Small Chance To Make A Statement To Tan?

Fri Jan 02, 2015 9:46 pm

Say we went on another cup run and got to Wembley, what an opportunity that would be, with the world watching, to fill half the stadium with blue and sing the biggest and loudest 19:27 "We'll always be blue" we've ever done.

That would surely piss Tan off as im sure he'd be there if we got to Wembley, and with all the media coverage it could make a huge statement. Espescially if we got blue balloons, Tan out signs and all that sort of stuff going. When was the last time a cup final was overshadowed by off field issues and protests?

Just a thought  :bluescarf:

Boycott tonight because it was Colchester, but take 40,000 to Wembley lol, surely now the people who openly stated they boycotted tonight should do so every game?

So perhaps a better way to make a statement would be to leave to stadium at 19:27, i know it probably wont happen, but can you imagine the impact it would make if fans left a cup final so early in their thousands?

I'll support any boycott or protest, but people need to stand by their words and actions, let's be all honest if we had man United tonight, the ground would have been packed out, just easier to stay away against a side like colchester

Your totally correct but am afraid that's how it is not just at our club but every club because all clubs have different types of fans. Some go every week, some go to only home, some pick games. That will never change.

Why?
Surely they can choose when to boycott.

If a league boycott is made and people do it does that mean they have to boycott every game?

Yeah, let's just sing a song once at a time chosen because It's the last time we won a particular trophy... that'll really show tan...

Like he even knows or cares why some of the crowd sing a few half hearted bars of a song at (to him) some random time at a game he is not attending.

If you want to boy ott, absolutely, go ahead. I totally support and encourage your decision.

If you're only going to boycott once at an fa cup tie against a lower league team... that just about shows your dedication to the cause.

I 'boycott' over half of our games every season... because I can't afford to go... wish I could, I'd be there and wearing blue.

We'd just be called hypocrites (those of us who boycotted Colchester) and justifiably. I'd rather it be publicised to the WORLD that we hate the rebrand so much that we couldn't sell our allocation of tickets. Before anyone comments, I don't think that's going to happen :bluescarf:

For a start were not going on any runs. Secondly, the majority of the 40,000 would be the part time reds just like the lot who started coming when we got promoted.
