tomorrow would be the perfect time for a boycott; on TV, its only an FA cup 3rd round fixture and its against a struggling league one side. Agreed. The issue is that there is no organised boycott for the match as many fans just cant be bothered and are using the regime as an excuse to not go without their loyalty being questioned. A boycott only works if it is knows by everybody, the board especially, that one is to take place. Secondly it needs to have a large majority of fans taking part. Consider a league game, if 2000 season ticket holders boycotted, it would have a negligible affect on Tan and his staff. it needs over half of the fans to be committed or else it is pointless! the Colchester game would be the perfect opportunity for an official boycott because Tan would actually be out of pocket from those not turning up. The impression he will get is just that people dont want to leave their house to watch a televised game on a cold friday night. For many, this is true but it was a golden opportunity for everybody to not go and still make a point to the club. without a boycott, people not turning up tomorrow is just going to show laziness rather that disapproval of the re-brand. this post is not directed as much to those who just cant be bothered turning up, its directed to the many fans ive seen who arent turning up simply because they dont like the rebrand!

Tomorrow isn't a boycott, no one wants to go as we are shit with a clueless manager and it's on TV buy we pretend otherwise.
If a boycott us organised, it needs to be a league game.

I don't want to go because I am fed up watching us at home in that shit red kit. So for me it's a boycott. But for others they can't be arsed because we are shit.

I'm working, but even if I wasn't I wouldn't turn up, I'd rather not throw away my money.

The money won't hurt him at all. The prices are dirt cheap and if the crowd is lower then the club can just cut back on staff.
Pointless as we had only 5k for a more attractive game v Bournemouth and that wasn't even on TV. An organised in ground demonstration would have a better effect.
All this half hearted boycott will do is make us look fickle and less attractive to any would-be buyer.
Remember Hammam originally got interested in us due to our support away to Wimbledon.
Boycotts will have the opposite effect.

Completley disagree no point in a boycott in this game as we would only get 6k at most on a normal occasion even if we where in blue. The only Boycott that would be worthwhile is not renewing your season ticket and a Boycott of a league game in mass, but this needs a leader to organise but our fans wont do it same as when the rebrand happened just accepted it. Bit too late. f**k Tan
I wont be at the game by the why would rather eat shit

What a load of nonsense your heart is ruling your head Tim.
The more demonstrations the more your owner gets off on it and accepts the challenge. Money always hurts to money men be it a £ or 100000

Daya
I have a question for you.
Bearing in mind Sams miss management and Vincents complete dictatorship....
If there was a choice between Tan or Hammam
Who would you pick?
Fri Jan 02, 2015 11:07 am
Dayo its peanuts. Equivalent to you losing 10p.
Only way to influence him is through his own press in his own country.
To be shown to be a poor businessman or bad guardian will make him worried about his standing in the country and the potential effect on all the political favours he gets.
We have also got to make sure we appear as victims, not ungrateful wingers.

It's a boycott for me, refusing to spend another penny on the club. I won't be boycotting league games though because I have already paid for them. Next season I will be fully behind the NoBlueNoRenew
I do think that if it was a real organised boycott it would need us to turn up outside the ground and protest and not enter the ground

I am going tonight with the wife and my boys.
Hate the rebrand but cannot stop supporting the team.
Will be interesting if we win tonight and draw a big team for the next round, how many boycotters will turn up for that one.

If I wasn't going tonight because I was ill or working etc, then it's not a boycott.
If on the other hand it's purely because of a point of principle, then it is a boycott

Simple as I don't believe any clubs colours and traditions should be played with.
But on that basis neither because neither had clubs best interest at heart.

Regardless of the opposition Its no fun being at the city with the atmosphere as crap as it is and the on going discord with he rebrand and I can not buy in to a club who treats fans so badly.... I did not renew this season and will not renew until Tan has reversed the Rebrand or a change of ownership.. You would not shop at a store it they treated you badly so why endorce the club when they are failing fans.
The only way to bring about change is provide negative impact on tans Finances and his high profile . Tan has got it seriously wronge............ Ile be over the moon to rejoin when we have our club back eg Identity, Colours , Pride and improved partnership between fans and club..
Dont renew..................................
