I must say that I'm getting a bit fed up with all this talk
Of Russell Slade 'inheriting his back room staff'......
Of Russell Slade 'not being able to bring his own coaching staff'.....
Of Russell Slade saying the players are 'unfit' and we are playing 'catch up' because of a poor pre-season....
Of pundits saying 'he is still getting to know his players and back room staff'
Of pundits saying that the squad is unbalanced and we need this player or that player......
He has been involved in some capacity since the before the Blackpool game at the beginning of October.... 3 Months!!!!!
It's football for fucks sake.... Russell Slade has been in this business for 20yrs and is at best an average manager. Average people look to blame things that are out of their hands to deflect the criticism coming their way. He is not the first and won't be the last to 'inherit' a back room staff and squad of players....
How unfit do professional footballers actually get in in the 3 months they get off????? I have played sport at a reasonable level and... it never took me 3 months to get fit (even after injury or whilst playing every week).
How long does a manager need to get to know his players and staff????
I do understand that we need a few players and that some of the players at our football club are not good enough (or don't want to be here) but we do have enough quality or hard workers to at least compete in this league.
Footballers don't just forget to......
1, chase a ball.
2, defend a cross.
3, tackle. And most importantly.....
4, PASS THE BALL
What exactly are we doing in training every day????
We have a squad of players who for some reason don't want to play football for Russell Slade, this is unacceptable I know, but unfortunately it's happening.....
The only answer is all the players go or Russell Slade goes.
If we keep Russell Slade I fear that we will not get the calibre of players we require to compete at this level, so for me (and I would love to have seen him be successful) it has to be a change of manager asap....
Thank you Mr. Slade for taking a job with a lunatic owner but unfortunately you are slightly out of your depth......
