Bought myself a Fiat Punto

Just bought myself a Fiat Punto 55s. Great milage at a good price. Any one got one? Happy with it?

You had one? Apperantly they put another motor in it due to som oil leak and the motor got shut. They had to re enforce the transmission, brakes and suspension to get it up to specs. I read it was car of the year a few years ago.

No not me my daughter had one. Couldn't wait to get rid.

Sorry to be rude..and I wasnt mocking.......I just know about them because a girlfriend once had one from brand new. A warranty helps as they are well known to have electrical niggles. The engines are underpowered and the trim is sparse, bordering on cheapskate....obviously its reflected in the price though.
The old saying ' you get what you pay for' applies with them. I seem to recall it was car of the year on my girlfriends car.....maybe to do with the pricing more than its capability?? They are great first cars because they are affordable.
Italian build quality is shocking at the best of times. Good luck!

Thanks. Seems a good deal. Aperrantly they have some problems with cooling, and that's why they changed the engine leading to some oil leaks. A 1,3 Mazda engine in it now, and apperantly it runs like a Ferrari. Will ask him about the electrics and if there are any issues.

Worst car i have ever had. Cost me a fortune. Steering is a problem, coil packs are another as is the gear box. Got shut soon as. Maybe I was unlucky tho. It all started to go wrong at 55 k miles
