No true Cardiff fan should go to that game. I plead with you to stay away as a protest against Tan and his hatred of traditional Cardiff fans.

Of course it won't ever work. You're assuming that everyone attending and buying tickets for Friday reads this Forum or is associated with one of the Supporters bodies.

As much as I like this forum we're in a big minority compared to our total fan base.

I saw my first CCFC game in 1968, and have supported the club since. Like just about everyone else, I'm totally opposed to the 're-branding'. I support the views taken by the supporters' club and the trust, both of which I am a member. Looking forward to the protests planned for the Derby and Brighton games. The only way to move forward is through joint action by genuine, and representative, supporters' organisations.

I'm going to the Colchester game, because I'm a Cardiff City fan. I'll also go on the protests in a few weeks time, because I'm a Cardiff City fan. There is no contradiction. I don't like your insinuation that I'm not a 'true Cardiff fan'.

Choosing the Colchester cup game for a so-called 'boycott' is a cop out. Everybody knows that there would be a low crowd. That will be due to a number of factors; poor form, televised game, freezing cold, etc.

I don't remember anybody calling for a boycott of the Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, etc games last season.

We can disagree about tactics, or objectives, but suggesting that those of us who go to certain games are not true fans, is well out of order. If you don't want to go, for whatever reason, then don't. We can all make our own decisions. :bluescarf:

Remember a few seasons back, before the 're-brand', getting 6k against the Worzels in a cup replay. Nothing new in small FA Cup crowds, sadly.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Less than 3,000 tickets are thought to have been sold at the moment.

**Family Stand tickets only available through ticket office**

***Canton is closed***

I'm sorry but I cannot agree with you as I firmly believe only empty grounds will have an impact. The Colchester game is not "season ticket" financed and so is a good chance to show our despair. I stand by what I say and if you believe me to be in the wrong then I respect your opinion as a long standing supporter of the real Cardiff City (by the way I am 3 years ahead of you). You are wrong about it being a "cop out" as an empty ground will draw more attention than any hasty protest (although I do support all peaceful protests). Please try and move on from the fling we had with Man City games etc and try and get our heritage back. Surely you must agree with that and if you don't then we must agree to disagree. With respect.

I think that we agree on the objective of the protests/boycots, (getting our true colours/heritage back), but not on the tactics. That's fair enough. Just in case there is any misunderstanding, the PL season, for me, was nothing special. Seeing the 'top' Premier League clubs, frankly, left me cold! I went to Charlton on Boxing Day, and the support was brilliant. A good mix of fans, just about all in blue, or casual. Plenty of protest songs, but also supporting the team. Just think that a proper boycot needs to be a higher profile game, and supported by all the fan groups, and publicised. We've got quite a few eloquent spokespeople to put our views across. I see your point about the Colchester game not being a ST financed game, though. Had not really thought about that angle. I'm sure that we both want the best for our club, especially being of the same generation. We've seen a lot, over the years! For me, it's a question of getting the tactics right, and uniting all those of us opposed to the 're-brand'. With respect from me, too, mate.
