Excellent way to get support for your cause, by calling those people you want to join the blue revolution sell outs.

It's the truth though. When we first started to protest we got nothing but shit off every other fan saying we would ruine the club etc. Now where are they all? Crawled back into their living rooms where they were before we started winning. Reality is when we've started loosing who's left in the stadium? The 'reluctant reds'? No... The blues.

Most put up with rebrand, not accepted it! Football is a drug to majority of fans, can't go without it. Why should Tan's selfish decisions take away a huge part of people's lives? People will go no matter how bad it gets! Some might not, some couldn't go through it, makes them no less of a fan if they put up with it or not!

No fan is pro-red, they're just pro-Cardiff City, and probably 100% of people would choose blue if the option is given! You're not helping the cause by calling people sell outs as they didn't abandon the club at the earliest part of the rebrand!

The point is now, Tan has made some ridiculous decisions post-Malky era, and it is pushing fans over the edge of what they will accept! He's gone to far now, and that's why you get more and more saying they'll boycott, not because we're not successful anymore! There's only so much someone can handle, and decisions with manager for example, are a huge part of what can be accepted!

He's right tho. How big was the protesting when we played against man city at home last season?
Or previous to that when we got promoted?
what has changed now apart from the results?

As I said in my reply, bad decisions post-malky era, and the comic announcements made by Tan, have pushed people over the edge!

An excellent reply hitting the nail well & truly on the head the majority of fans gritted our teeth & reluctantly accepted it in the hope that we could become an established top flight club dare i say like Swansea instead since last November the lunatic has destroyed those hopes & dreams leaving us with a club without identity, unity, belief & hope & i think the majority of us who reluctantly accepted the re-brand in the first place are upset & embarrassed that we let it happen & wish we could go back & fight harder against Tan. But we have the right to change our mind & can & will fight back now even harder to bring back the spirit & identity of this fantastic football club.

You may be right but I believe that 3 good wins on the bounce most of the crowd will stop calling for his head. The hardcore will still remain and get shouted down again.

Football is the least of my concerns right now, Tan needs to go before anyone else! Slade is working in extremely hard conditions, and that all relies from the actions from the guy at the top!

Re: Most are only against the rebrand now because....

It does not seem to me the result alone have caused the change of atmosphere in here. Remember, in the beginning of the season, people still believed in some sort of compromise, and there were even rumors that Cardiff would change back to blue next season. Malky´s text messages were out in the media, and at one point, quite a few in here supported the idea that a more friendly approach was the best way to make Tan change his mind. Everything turned around after Ole left and Tan made it clear there would be re-rebrand whatsoever (the interview on his Yatch in Malaysia). The appointment of Slade and a poor run of results do not help for sure, but voices were raised also during Slade´s first run of games where the results (not the performances) were quite good.

So after all that lads the point still stands, the only thing which have changed is the results

Because what you said was nonsense. If it was 1984 would did majority of people still go to work during the miners strikes ? No because in their mind it wasn't the righ thing to do. Yet fast forward 30 years people allowed a big businessman in Tan to trample over their club and change everything apart from the name which they would have IMO had if the FA didn't change the rules in time.

Back in '84 the returning workforce were call scabs, nowadays the returning fans are sell outs. Fact!!

Re: Most are only against the rebrand now because....

I never backed the rebrand and have been home and away for 40 years.I put up with it in the hope that the debt would be wiped out. Now however, he has moved the goalposts again.
f**k Tan. I've missed the last 3 home games..the longest absence in nearly 30 years.
This has to happen now.....We have to stay away..This isnt our club any more. I cant relate to any of it. Honestly happier in div 4 in the 80's. At least we had pride.
We are just a laughing stock. A joke.

Re: Most are only against the rebrand now because....

Sun Dec 28, 2014 9:46 pm

If we had stayed up last year, nobody would have said anything. If we were top right now, nobody would say anything.

We get the biggest anti rebrand threads when we lose.

He's got a point, lots will not renew because we're playing shit, and because of the ground, and because we sold Toshack etc........

Bang on Browner.

Where's those fools Thailand flag Davies , Tony Jeffries and Vince Alm these days? Still talking shite or wishing they had engaged a brain cell ?

Many of the so-called fans leaders are just popularists

Re: Most are only against the rebrand now because....

Sun Dec 28, 2014 11:01 pm

You do have a point Daya. In the beginning when some people were taking Malaysian flags to the games......it made me uneasy as I dont trust people easily.. It probably had more to do with the fact that nearly every owner since the 80's has screwed us over, but hindsight eh?
Tan is not the worst though (so far)......Rick Wright wanted us in the League of Wales in a 6000 seater stadium.....but this one under Tan hurts the most.

Maybe they have changed their way of thinking because the club hasn't offered them any German trips of late ?

You just don't see it do you.

Well you wouldn't because you have not been there. The red was taking over and it would have won if we all had boycotted. However we did not dessert and the blue remained, small at first but grew, now the stadium is awash with blue. The blue lives.
