Slade has lost the changing room

Sun Dec 28, 2014 5:49 pm

Russell Slade had lost the support of at least five senior players according to a genuine source. It looks like many of the other players will now follow suit. While I think that players should take some responsibility for our predicament it is the manager at the end of the day who is ultimately accountable for results.

Slade is a nice bloke but it now looks like Tan's gamble has failed and someone like Pulis is needed. I don't like Tan but in his defence, it won't cost much to sack Slade.

I'd fund it hard to believe in what slade is saying if I was a player as well.

The next four are hard games, it's now a matter of when he's sacked ???

He will be gone by Feb IMO......

I said when we were winning he would be gone before the end of the season as I could see he would struggle with his strange management. I hope Tan doesn't keep him just because he is "his" choice.

I fear this is exactly what he'll do, He'll allow Slade to further decimate the squad of any flair and creativity and we'll have a Donkey's XI come the end of January.

That just shows what an unprofessional group of players we have. I didn't see Russell Slade losing the dressing room at Leyton Orient etc.

Ole's brought in players with egos with the wrong character and got rid of players like Hudson who was great for the dressing room and gave us the organisation and leadership on the pitch we are currently lacking.

Slade has inherited a mess, I don't think he's the right guy for us, I totally disagree with his persistence of 4-4-2 and I disagreed with him dropping Ben Turner today, but we probably have the least professional group of players in the division and the players need to take a huge majority of the blame as well.

I don't think some of the players have given Slade a chance and Tan hasn't given Slade a chance by telling him not to play certain players and terminating contracts of players Slade may have wanted. What a mess!

I got to agree with you ,either slade goes or get rid of some of the under performing players

Tonteg... don't really understand what you are saying. A manager "manages" players to get the best out of them. Doesn't offload them because they are talented and disagree with the approach that he is taking!

Slade the genius who doesn't have a squad to play 4-4-2 but will only play 4-4-2.

I don't think the players have egos they are just being ruined with old school tactics.

To be fair, I don't think Slade has lost the dressing room..... I don't think he ever had it in the first place to lose

As much as he might lose face he needs us in the premier to recoup his cash so Slade will not last too much longer

Is it possible that the players got the feeling that the former manager was actually talking more sense? You need to impress the players, you know, with your knowledge and ideas first of all.

Sound reasonable and well thought out. It is the general idea after all. Then you add up how many Ole signings Slade have used in his tenure, and go hmmmmm

I haven't read any of the above but i agree slade is shit....total shit along with the mickey mouse wankers behind him. However for players not to give their all for the club just cos they don't like the manager and his tactics is dogshit

If that was true then it would say everything regarding the lack of professionalism and poor attitude of the players. Tonteg's was the more sensible post
