Slade - interesting!

Sat Dec 27, 2014 12:43 pm

To see what the team will be tomorrow. I think he is totally confused now as Watford are a good footballing side who counter quickly. I think he will select:

Marshal

Brayford
Manga
Turner
John

Noone
Gunner
Witts
Adeyemi

Macheda
Le Fondra

Subs Connolly, Fabio, Moore, Pilkington, Ralls, Harris, Jones

Gunner
Whitts

Then names in a bowl for the rest.

my team would be in a 5-3-1-1
marshall
brayford manga morrisson Connelly john
adeyemi gunnerson ralls
harris
jones
this team would give brayford and john licence to go forward knowing we had our three paceist centre backs protecting them
our three mid fielders would be able to defend further up the pitch again knowing three centre backs and two wing backs would be there as back up
harris with his pace could have free role and feed off jones
jones would give our wing backs the big man up front option
also our three centre backs are comfortable on the ball
and two of our midfielders adeyemi and ralls would offer a bit more pace
this for me would work aswell home or away
the bench would be stronger and have more options to change the game if needed :bluescarf:

Like the thought and reasoning behind this. I would change the players slightly though and bring fabio and Whitts in for Ralls and John

Amazing that we have so many options and formations that would suit our players, my choice would be 4-2-3-1 personally but like the look of the above side. So many options and ways to play and the best Slade comes up with is 4-4 f*cking 2

personally I don't want whitts in my starting team,, hes too slow and we cant keep carrying him with the hope he finds one killer pass,, sorry but hes over the hill and too comfortably well off financially to give a f..k :bluescarf: younger fitter quicker players with something to prove is what we now need :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

we all have our opinions Stevie boy, to be honest you have never liked Whitts but that is your prerogative :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

Nobody in that middle 3 can retain the ball well enough IMO. Whitts won't need to bomb around like everyone wants due to Adeyemi and Gunnarson being around him, allowing him to create for us like he has time and time again.
